Premier Inn Warrington (M6/J21)

The room had a unusual musty odour which usually comes from when something gets wet and is not dried properly. Not sure if this was from the shower curtain or the carpets. The new cleaning policy of having to inform the reception is also unusual as we placed the sign on the door only to return late at night to find an uncleaned room, we did not read the NEW instructions in the room. Front desk should have informed us on check in.

We stopped overnight here to break our journey to London. Easy to get too from M6. Parking was free and enough spaces to choose from. Lovely attentive staff, food good. Room was very clean, airy and slept so well. Will definitely be returning.

What Could Have Been Done Better 1. Staff Attitude and Professionalism: The staff during check-in could have been more welcoming and professional. A friendly and accommodating approach would have made a better first impression and set a positive tone for the stay. 2. Provision of Keycards: Offering two keycards at check-in should be standard practice for rooms with more than one guest. This would avoid unnecessary inconvenience, such as being left without lights in the room. 3. Respecting Privacy: Housekeeping should not ignore “Do Not Disturb” signs. Entering the room despite this sign was intrusive and avoidable. Ensuring that staff respect these signs is crucial for guest privacy. 4. Room Comfort: The lack of air-conditioning made the room stuffy and uncomfortable, especially during the night. Providing air-conditioning or at least ensuring proper ventilation would greatly improve guest comfort. With a premier inn you know what you’re getting - lots of parking, comfy bed, clean room. For a mid journey stop you know it’s gonna fit the bill. I’ve stayed in loads of PI’s over the years. All pretty much the same. What set this one apart was how good the staff wear - they were the nicest people ever. Really welcoming, quick service and with a lovely demeanour.

Stayed here whilst attending a family wedding, room was lovely and clean. Reception staff were accommodating and helpful. They managed to fulfil my requests of a high floor room. The hotel was very busy at the time but the staff always had smiles on there faces 😁 i will be back!

Rooms was acceptable, comfortable and clean - apart from the noisy bathroom fan. Evening meal was fine, but breakfast was very disappointing. Hot food was definitely not hot, and apoeared to hve been left standing for a long time. Not at all appetising, and most of it not eatable. We had to make do with coffe, toast, and cereal ( toasters looked old, battered and rusty). Communal areas were not well kept, carpets need replacing, hard floors were sticky underfoot.
