Whale House Guest House

My partner and I had such a relaxing Valentine’s Day weekend. The hot tub was the highlight of our stay, along with the ocean view surrounding the king bed. It was the most relaxed i’ve ever felt. The bathroom was stocked with Attitude soaps, a very sustainable, Canadian brand which made me even happier! It was incredibly peaceful, cozy, and uplifting. We will definitely be back for weekend getaways in the future. Thank you Amanda! You were amazing, too!

The blue whale suite was very nice and the views were excellent. We loved the hot tub and the peacefulness of the stay. The suite is simple but elegant. The bed was so comfortable and the sheets were very soft. Saw some puffins and one minke whale on the nearby boats tour. Amanda was great and offered lots of information prior to the stay. Hope to stay again someday.

Excellent location to explore the area and hike part of the East Coast Trail right out the door. Very handy to have a fridge and cooking facilities. Host very attentive. Really liked their values in terms of conservation. Perfect set up for hikers needs.

We booked the Humpback Room because of the hot tub and ocean view. There was not much of a view. The trees and vegetation does not allow for any view of the Ocean. The room is very small and nowhere to sit except for two wooden chairs. No place to put any of your clothes away. It may not be so bad but there is no other place on the property to sit outside. The weather was great but beside the bench outside our door there was not place to sit not even on the deck with the hot tub. They should also let you know before you arrive about some of their rules. There is a slgn above the toilet that only pee and poop goes into the toilet. Anything you use to wipe is to go into the garbage can beside the toilet. All in all it was not what we expected.

Had the Beach House suite with hot tub. Gorgeous view with large picture windows on two sides. Lovely big room, king bed -mattress was amazing. Shower and hot tub amenities were all good. Lots of games and books available. Hot tub was perfect and Amanda lowered the temperature for us before arriving. Furniture and artwork was lovely. My comments below are minor but might be thoughts for future improvement for others. We plan to go back next summer as we enjoyed the experience so much. My reason for not giving 5 star was there was no coffee creamers/whitener in the room which we only realized early morning. Also would be nicer to have drinking water kept in fridge rather than on the counter. I was a bit concerned how long it might have been there. We used tap instead but the only sink was about half the size of bar sink. TV did not work and kept getting stuck spinning.

Very spacious and quiet area with a beautiful view. Owner was very professional and answered any questions very promptly. The location is walking distance to a restaurant called the Fork which I highly recommend and a couple east coast hiking trails .
