Holiday Inn Bristol - Filton

An excellent service, stayed in room 403, smooth check in, scan and pay for car parking, £5 for 24hrs, was offered a late checkout on signing up for the IHG membership, room was very clean, lovely view over a large green, beds very comfortable, bathroom was a good size, good quality shampoo, conditioner, body wash, fridge in room with still and sparkling water, Dolce gusto machine and espresso pods in room as well as the usual tea, coffee sachets, biscuits, chocolate bars and crisps. Hairdryer, iron and ironing board in little cupboard, TV was huge but despite best efforts couldn't get it to work, a minor issue. Staff a credit to the hotel, ate an evening meal, very tasty and reasonably priced. Would recommend.

From the moment we arrived, we received exceptional service from Naima and everyone we met. The interior of the holiday inn throughout was stylish and modern, very clean and of high standard. We booked half board for 2 nights. The food was high quality, and really nice and Matthew and Suri delivered top service. It included a 3 course meal each night too. The breakfast was self service buffet style. So much option from fresh fruit, meat and cheese, cereals, porridge, seeds, pastries to full english. A variety of fresh juices, and unlimited hot drinks from the machine serving all different coffees. We didn't use the pool or gym whilst there, but others had mentioned how nice and warm the pool was. Beds and pillows were super comfy, and size of our room was good. Plenty of plug sockets, and lighting and a stocked mini fridge of water, plus ample tea, coffee, amenities which were topped up daily. Nice big car park which you pay for on check in, £5 per 24 hours. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

When I first arrived I was a little worried as from the outside look run down but as I stepped into the hotel wow amazing clean and total different appearance. Check in was quick but to see Naima leaning on the back wall of reception on a mobile phone I didn’t really feel was very appealing and she seemed like she really didn’t want to be there. The moment I stepped into my room I was shocked so spotlessly clean,lovely to have biscuits,crisps and chocolate bar and water in the room thought this was a lovely touch.I booked a sofa bed room which I had but unfortunately it wasn’t made up so I went to reception spoke to Kavin who just said I’ll get it sorted again I think staff on reception need be re trained.I headed back to my room and within seconds of getting there I had a knock on my door from housekeeping as I opened the door I was greeted by Joanne who introduced herself as housekeeping supervisor and apologised for the misunderstanding reguarding the sofabed and that she would would set it up for me,which she did straight away whilst having a lovely conversation with me such a smiley,happy,friendly welcoming lady and whilst leaving she once again apologised to me and asked me if there was anything else she could do for me and hope we have a lovely stay. Had a lovely evening meal a great nights sleep and a lovely stay will definitely return. Please just consider the staff on reception !

Arrived in the evening and to be honest I thought the hotel looked a bit run down from the outside however, do not let this put you off. It’s quite modern inside, the rooms are clean and quite large with friendly and attentive staff. The onsite gym and pool is also a massive bonus, as is the extremely nice restaurant. Had a lovely stay!!!!

Stayed here in October and November and it's a pleasure to see the hotel has been updated and the rooms are fresh and modern. Reception staff are professional and friendly and checkin was a breeze . Only issues I experienced on both of my stays relate to the heating this appears to turn itself off after a set period which unfortunately means in the morning you wake to a cold room , This happened during both stays in different rooms on different levels , I understand energy saving but the coldest months are coming and waking to a cold room isn't great . The pillows are also not the thickest and for me they could do with improvement they feel like they've bought a value range of pillows . The food within the restaurant and bar is the normal Hotel fair but I found the portions to be large and the food well prepared and tasty . When I need to stay in Bristol again I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again apart from the heating the hotel is perfectly adequate for a few nights stay in a clean and fresh hotel

Really is a Shame that it was used as an immigrant hotel! If we had known this we would have booked elsewhere, I would definitely avoid this hotel. Customers need to be made aware of this sort of thing this will forever known as a rest stop hotel for,,,,
