Excellent service, everyone was polite. Hotel was clean, breakfast was great!!

Mildew in the room. Run down and not a quality place to stay. When brought to the attention of the staff was given platitudes. We will get with maintenance and the management. This is months to years old problem. Not a Marriott brand standard at all

What a fantastic stay! Fair rate and great service. The manager, Tanya Smith, was a delight. Everything was clean, lots of choices to eat nearby, breakfast was delicious. Pool was nice, room was quiet. No complaints at all! Will stop here again next year.

I stayed here for two nights while doing some work during the daytime. I was pretty pleased overall. I have to second, third, and fourth what most people have been saying. The staff here was great. I had great interactions with every person I came in contact with. My room was pretty big. It was very little extra money to upgrade to a bigger room so it seemed like a no brainer. I didn't utilize the pool while I was there but I saw it. It was outside, an ok size, seemed clean, and it was getting used a fair amount. It had a nice looking gym. They offer cookies at 5PM. There's a good complimentary breakfast every morning. Parking is free. If you don't want to have to go out to eat dinner somewhere, you can conveniently walk next door to a seafood restaurant that's been in the news for closing down everywhere but it's staying open next door to this hotel for now. The main downfall to me is that it seemed a little old. Other than that though, I had a good experience in this hotel and would stay here again if I'm ever back in the area.

The Staff always makes or breaks a hotel review for me. In this case, the staff people were great and friendly. And our room was updated and very clean. We did not have a tip for the cleaning staff which I feel badly about. The room was tip worthy indeed. The hotel was busy that evening.. a very lively crowd in the common areas and we did notice some loud talking in the halls of our floor but never had a problem with our sleep in the slightest. We will defiantly stay here again when visiting Winston. It's a very good deal.

DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL. You’ll be met with bugs in EVERY room. I am a Titanium Elite member and was treated with zero loyalty. When we checked in it was late, I was not offered anything from the pantry or offered my bonus points (not a tremendous deal but again, lack of focus on loyalty), we went to our room and went right to bed. When we awoke the next morning and opened the drapes we were met with an overwhelming number of flying bugs & insects! I’ve never felt more dirty and was terrified to look in my mouth r my families luggage. Being loyal to Marriott, I went to the front desk showed them the pictures of the bugs and how dirty things were in the room. Jackie at the front desk told me she would send someone up to SPRAY for bugs. I said “not with my family here you won’t!” I told Jackie I would like a new room. Jackie agreed and moved me to a new room. Guess what….even MORE bugs and insects than in the first room! I took video and pictures to show Jackie. She again said “yes, those bugs are attracted to the light” which astonished me. I told her we were leaving immediately and I wanted a full refund for my stay. She told me she couldn’t do that. I asked for a manager and she told me there was not a manager available. Jackie told me to call Marriott corporate (which I’m doing) to request a refund. She dismissed me and just said there was nothing more she could do. However, before I left she made sure to hand me the invoice for the waters I purchased…unbelievable! Again DO NOT STAY HERE! If the lack of loyalty isn’t bad enough, the BUGS most certainly are!!!

Arrived early and the desk agent was happy to accommodate. She also showed me the pods in the lobby to watch TV and do some afternoon work. Room was comfortable and clean. Couch area in room was a bonus in the evening. When in the area, i will choose again.

They are under construction. There was a diesel truck in the parking lot revving it’s engine deep into the night. It took two calls to the front desk to get it resolved. Finally at midnight it stopped. Bedroom phone didn’t work. The light pours in past the curtains. If you are a business traveler, I’d advise you to find someplace else. This is far below the Marriott standard.

This Fairfield is located in a good location, but it’s an older property. The staff were friendly and helpful. But when we pulled up, there was a pallet on the sidewalk where we were exiting from the vehicle. I notified the front desk, and they indicated someone was coming to pick it up the next day. #SafetyHazzard. Felt like staff should have been more proactive. We were in the area for a funeral, not a long range stay. So it was just ok for our temporary purposes. Budget friendly.
