Great location as you’re in between both Windermere and Bowness on Windermere which is walking distance for both. Very friendly host! Owen was so welcoming on our arrival and recommended us to many places such as walks/ food and drinks. Glenville house itself I found very comfortable and quaint, plus the bed was super comfy! Only downfall was we didn’t get to stay long enough as we only had one night here and it does get booked up quickly. Sadly you can only check in at 16:00 and check out is 10am, however that’s the case with lots of guest houses and hotels around here. Having access to the choices health club was an extra bonus, we really enjoyed use of the pool and spa facilities. We would definitely stay here again.

Lovely room and gave us good recommendations of places to eat in Windermere for tea and breakfast. Enjoyed our stay and would stay there again. The spa and gym was just a short drive away and we loved using the facilities over the 2 days we stayed, it was a really nice addition.

The most wonderful stay at the most stunning place! The location could not have been better, literally a lovely short stroll to all the pubs, bars and restaurants in Bowness and Windermere. Fizzy Tarte, Hylton’s, Boaters, Boardwalk, The Albert etc. The luxury apartment did not disappoint, everything you’d hope for a luxury stay. Nothing too much trouble for the host who was so accommodating and always on hand to send information of local recommendations etc. The hot tub in the gorgeous gardens and the open aspect living with the most gorgeous view was spectacular. If you are wanting a 5* stay on the doorstep of Bowness, look no further!

Gorgeous place to stay, lovely clean room, quiet location (5-10 minute walk from shops, restaurants and bars) and plenty of car parking spaces too. Owen was amazingly helpful throughout our stay. Would definitely recommend and will most definitely be returning soon.

The owner, Owen, kindly upgraded us from the classic room to one off the luxury rooms at no extra cost. He was very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The room he moved us to was beautifully decorated and the bed was extremely comfortable. The location is ideal to as it is a few minutes walk either direction to the nearby town centres (Windermere and Bowness) so it was very easy to get to the local area. Overall, we had a great time in the area and the fantastic accommodation definitely helped with that.

Excellent B&B, spotlesly clean.nice crisp cotton sheets. Fab hot shower. Sumptous breakfast. We were treated to a free upgrade to a superior room. Parking was a bonus. Friendly staff, would definitely stay again.

We stayed here when we visited Windermere for the weekend and it was so lovely! Owen was extremely responsive and recommended a fantastic firework display as well as the best bars/restaurants. It was in such a wonderful location and access to the health club was a major plus! Would highly recommend staying here!

My wife and myself have just had a 2 night stay with Owen and the team. All we can say is thank you for a fantastic time, giving us a great room and lovely breakfasts. The location really suits us and the option of the leisure facilities really helps if the weather is against you. We will be back and can't wait for the same. Thank you Glenville House. 😊

We had an amazing short Birthday holiday in Glenville house, it's a beautiful guest house, very good location, lovely breakfast . We had a warm welcome when we arrived from Owen who's running the place. He really look after us. Definitely we're coming back and we highly recommend this place.
