Hotel Sonnschein

We are on the last day of our first family ski holiday travelling with 2 children (8 & 5). I cannot recommend this hotel enough. The staff are so friendly and helpful, the food is delicious, the rooms are spacious and comfortable and the swimming pool and leisure facilities are excellent. The climbing wall and games facilities for the children have been a great way for them to spend the evenings. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

This hotel exceeded our expectations on every level. Travelling as a family of 4 with two children, we had a huge room (with 2 separate bedrooms) with a view to the rear of the hotel, of snowy hills and mountains. Staff were friendly and incredibly hard-working, and Emily was a fantastic host. We opted for half board and were so impressed with the food - varied, plentiful and an impressive gala dinner on NYE. I was never hungry! The juice room for breakfast was a really nice touch (and I really miss my daily fresh juices now home). The impressive newly built spa was incredible. I am lost for words. If we weren't on holiday for primarily the skiing, I think I would spend all day in there. It is literally state of the art. I have visited many hotels over the years and never experienced a spa like it! Location-wise, it is a short walk (3-5 mins) to the nearest lifts and the ski bus stop, ski shop, ski school. Stayed in this hotel Xmas and new year. The food was very bad .we had to eat out as a result .The bar staff tried to rip us off by over charging. The reception upon leaving all so tried to charge us for tabs we didn't have and for a extra person staying which was false. They dropped the bill when realised their mistake.

Booked as part of a skiing holiday with Ingham's. The hotel has a really welcoming feel to it and the spa and swimming facilities are the star of the show. What a treat at the end of a hard days skiing. Bedrooms are tired and our bath was peeling enamel and the bed settee for my daughter was not the most comfortable but they are warm and spacious and ours had a lovely balcony and view of the pistes. Fab location five mins walk to the ski action. Food is very traditionally Austrian. You are allocated the same table for your entire stay. Breakfast consists of freshly juiced fruits and veggies, cereals, bread, eggs cheese and meats. Dinner is three courses and you are served your choice that you select at breakfast. I struggled a little as a vegetarian but there's loads of lovely salad to choose from. Had a really relaxing week.

We stayed for a ski holiday with a young family. Hospitality and food was good. Rooms were spacious although somewhat dated. The Spa and gym are excellent. Would come back. A short walk to the slopes. We rented a locker at the ski rental shop as this as closer to the slopes.

My expectations having read previous reviews were probably too high. Staff were very pleasant, rooms basic and beds very low, definitely a skiing hotel, was clean but a couple of issues. The breakfast was plentiful both cooked and continental, Evening meals were very basic and uninteresting not well cooked in fact better for us to eat out in daytime although on a breakfast evening meal basis. The hotel was up the mountain quite a way from the village shops and a very long walk.
