#1: A month before our planned trip I booked a 2 Queen suite with sofa-bed and sitting area specifically at this hotel, so that my husband and I would have a comfortable area to sit in the evening to relax and watch TV. The online photo of the suite was very nice. We are seniors with walking problems so booked this suite on the ground floor as there is no elevator in this hotel. After I booked online on the Wyndham site, I followed up with a phone call to the hotel to confirm that there was a 2 Queen suite available on the ground floor. The person I spoke to on the phone said that they could absolutely do that for us. #2: The day before we left on our trip, Monday December 4th, I called the hotel again to confirm that our suite would be on the ground floor. The woman I spoke to said there was one left and they would save it for us. #3: On Tuesday Dec. 5 we drove the 2 1/2 hours to Wickenburg, did some shopping and ate lunch to kill tome before the check in at the hotel. I called at 1.30pm to see if there was any possibility that we could check in early, and reminded the woman of the suite on the ground floor, who supposedly "found our reservation" and said the suite wouldn't be ready until 3 pm as the hotel was full the night before. So we killed more time, then went to the hotel at 3 pm When we got to the front desk, the girl (with tattoos all over her, a nose ring, and pink hair,) said that the room still wasn't ready, but they could give us another room. I reminded her that I had booked the 2 Queen suite specifically because we wanted a sitting area. She told us that they didn't have and suites like that on the ground floor - it didn't exist. We were incredulous, as were the people standing behind us who listened to all this. She told us we could go across the street to their sister property and perhaps they would have a comparable room there., and they'd give us the same rate. We went across the street, reluctantly, and the woman there was also flabbergasted that this had happened. she offered us a 2- bedroom apartment, which was more expensive. By this time, we were so fed up with the whole thing that we decided to just drive the 2 1/2 hours home, as we had lost all enthusiasm for staying there any longer. I booked this hotel a month in advance, and spoke to three different people by phone who all confirmed the ground-level suite. So all three people either: didn't listen to me, didn't look at the reservation in the computer, didn't know the logistics of the rooms their own hotel, or were too lazy or incompetent to check the reservation accurately. We have been Wyndham Rewards members for years, and often book Wyndham hotels. This is the last time I will ever book a Super 8. Terrible service.
