Cafe’s, restaurants and shops are close by in Orewa. It's a great stop off on your way north leading to Matakana and the Bay of Islands. Stanmore Bay beach is a long beach so if you are wanting to get yours steps up walk the length of it to do 5000 steps. You will enjoy the family friendly hosts who live close by if you should need anything.
