Woodside Lodge Accommodation

Last night, in anticipation of spending some time in Westport (Croagh Patrick, Greenway cycle ) I made a reservation on the Woodside Lodge website. Within the same hour after further research realized the “B&B” does not have on site staff, nor does it provide a cooked breakfast, and apparently they do not have bicycles for guest use. All of these do not meet my needs, and as I mentioned I followed up with an email within 1 hour of making the booking indicating my desire to cancel. My reservation is a week away for one evening of Thursday, April 10th. Following the initial email, to which I received no response, I have followed with several other email requests, and phone calls made directly to the establishment at the phone number listed on the website. I simply want to cancel, and receive a confirmation of such and that my card details (provided to them in the booking) , will not be charged.

We found this B&B was in a good location for driving into Westport from the north, arriving late it was very easy to find and no issues with parking. Easy access if driving onto Achill Island the next day too. The room was a good size, the bed very comfortable and clean. We didn't meet the owners, but they left the key out in a lockbox for us. There is no breakfast included.

We stayed at Woodside Lodge for two nights in September during a real hot spell in Ireland. The room was comfortable and the location quite. Westport is quite a large town and so it was good to be a 15 minute walk away so we weren't bothered by noise. Breakfast was a stand out; cooked by Patrice, (a French gentleman). He also gave us some great travel tips. Helen was also very friendly. Thanks very much to you both for making our stay wonderful.
