I don’t wish to hurt anyone’s business but unfortunately this place was a no within the first ten minutes of arriving. There are red flags with the amount of security cameras covering the motel outdoor area as you can see in reception, aswell as signs about a $250 deposit if you’re a Mackay local or don’t have a drivers licence. There were a few sleazy men outside their motel room, shirtless and drinking, looking up and down and making some comment as soon as I got out of the car. I am a seasoned traveller, and I’m certainly not precious, but all my radars were going off about this place. We were travelling through Mackay for the one night with our baby and had a few thousand of camping gear on the tray, so it was just a no to stay there overnight. Not a family friendly place, based on my experience. The owner was lovely and helpful and the room was reasonably clean, however not worth the risk for us. We considered loading our gear in the room for the night but then noticed there was just a click lock on the door and so we left.

A great little place to spend time with friends amd family. During the October holidays my wife and kids and friends and their children had a lovely weekend away. I am a fan of the scenery and the people. Thanks very much for having me. Ricardo and moira.

Maggots on the floor, cockroaches in the bathroom, toilet did not flush, no rubbish bin in room, curtains did not close properly, pillows and bedding had body order smell, husband said it would be more comfortable sleeping in the morgue on a slat table, and he was not wrong, front door had hole in first layer of the door, lock on bathroom door hard to unlock, damage to shower recess, the maintenance to entire property well below standard. Fire instructions would not met fire saftey, says use bin but no bin, call reception before 000, no not leave your room. Not recommended.

We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment. Older style but very clean and comfortable. We had dinner in the restaurant which was lovely. The staff overall were very friendly and helpful. Couldn’t do enough for us in particular the parking of our camper trailer. We will definitely stay here again.
