Went for Sunday lunch my partner and son had the roast sirloin of beef and l had the vegetarian roasted butternut squash which l have had many times yet again superb the whole experience was wonderful going back again this week cannot wait the cheese and biscuits was excellent so was the sticky toffee pudding

The best Sunday lunch in Devon! Gorgeous and cosy pub with extremely efficient and friendly staff - the meal was wonderful with delicious beef and loads of veggies including sizzling cauliflower cheese. Don’t miss the chef Jay’s sticky toffee pud which can’t be beaten!

This was a long planned trip with friends, some of whom had been before and raved about it. They were right: Tess and her team were so friendly and welcoming, both to us and our assorted dogs. Dinner was exceptional - top quality local ingredients cooked and presented with real flare. Then upstairs to comfortable bedrooms. Great breakfast too.

We stayed in the Brentor room and was blown away by this beautiful clean room. Large bathroom. We ate both dinner and breakfast here. Both of which were delicious. An awful lot of locally sourced produce used and a good selection of wines. As this place was situated on the main road I was concerned about traffic noise. However the windows were glazed well and heard very little so don’t be put off by this. Comfortable bed. Decor was tasteful. Well equipped coffee and tea tray in room with a fridge. . Would go back tomorrow.

Once again beautiful food and service nothing was too much trouble there is a lot of places could learn a lot from here l just wish it was a little closer to home l would be there every week well done

Fantastic meal and service - not very often you have a meal that you simply couldn’t replicate at home. Amazingly skilful chef and team. Not a chip in sight fantastic. A meal we will remember for a very long time as we were celebrating our daughters 21st. Thank you for a memorable evening

Excellent food,well priced and very friendly and helpful staff. Thank you. I also want to add a footnote to this review. I did give this hotel a very bad review earlier,for which I humbly and sincerely apologise. Some friends of ours booked a table at another establishment,where the food was atrocious,and having visited The Dartmoor a few weeks ago,got them mixed up.Hopefully they will be able to,with my absolute permission,delete it.I am so sorry. Thank you.

Recently stayed at the Dartmoor Inn on route to the ferry. This place is well worth a visit wether you stay the night or have lunch or dinner. We received a very warm welcome from ALL the staff who could not do enough for us during our stay. Everything is done to a very high standard and the attention to detail was excellent. One particular plus for us was the menu being so GF friendly.

We booked a room here as a stop-over en route to Falmouth, largely because there was a restaurant that we could eat at. Our room was very spacious, the bed was comfortable and there were facilities for making a hot drink. However, the main asset of this Inn is its staff, who were extremely helpful and could not have done any more for us. There were a couple of negatives: the surface of the car park was extremely rough and difficult to wheel cases over, and the stairs up to the rooms were very narrow, with a bend at the top immediately before a door, so were extremely awkward to manoeuvre a suitcase round. However, these were small points in comparison with the welcome and facilities.
