Chesterfield Inn

So charming! Rooms were very cute and clean. Included breakfast was delicious and want to try dinner next visit. Beautiful and peaceful grounds for relaxing with a glass of wine. Was also shockingly less expensive than some corporate chains in the area.

My husband and I were visiting the Keene/Swanzey Lake area and needed a place to stay. We chose The Chesterfield Inn based on its very positive reviews and the fact that it is a member of Select Registry (a nonprofit association of distinguished Inns across the country). We made an excellent choice! Judy and Phil Hueber, the longtime owners and Innkeepers, ensured our experience was comfortable, warm and welcoming. Our room (which was in the Annex) was spacious, clean and beautifully appointed. We also appreciated having our own private sitting area outside. The greatest part of our experience was the on premises restaurant that served a complimentary full and delicious breakfast and also offered dinner (be sure to make a reservation). We enjoyed dinner so much on our first night that we cancelled all our reservations in town and ate there four nights in a row! Finally, to a one, each and every member of the Inn and restaurant staff was pleasant and attentive and willing to go the distance for us— happy to make us a beautiful cheese and fruit plate one evening for friends who had come to visit. We highly recommend the Chesterfield Inn!

This is such a special Inn. We were in the area for a wedding, but would go back just to stay here. Our room was beautifully appointed, super comfortable, and very clean. Breakfast the next morning (included in the room rate) was absolutely delicious with plenty of options, not a buffet, but you order off the menu and it was just delightful, all of it.

Our family made the Chesterfield Inn our headquarters for our son’s wedding weekend, and Judy and her staff made the occasion that much more memorable. From allowing us to have drinks on the terrace, to providing a private room for our rehearsal dinner, to answering our every question and concern over the three days, it was a perfect example of uncompromising hospitality. We look forward to returning again and again.

We just came home from our umpteenth stay at the Chesterfield Inn. Our love affair with this Inn started over 30 years ago when we stayed here a few times and thought it was just lovely. Circumstances intervened until the start of COVID when we began to look for a safe space to escape cabin fever. The Inn was doing such a wonderful job managing the challenges posed by COVID that we decided to return for a visit. Since then we've probably stayed at the Inn at least 12 times. We just love it here and every detail is perfection, from the decor to the grounds to the food to the staff and the amazing Innkeepers, the Huebers. And of course the Inn cat Yoda. We can't recommend this property highly enough and hope you'll try it if you haven't already. It truly is one of the nicest and most relaxing places we've ever stayed and we look forward to our next visit in the near future.

The chesterfield inn is a very nice inn, with a friendly staff. It is in a great location close to Brattleboro & rooms are very nice. Breakfast is always great service and quality...... always a good rate aa we'll. Will return when the opportunity arises.
