The hotel was amazing from the spacious beachfront room with a view. The outdoor shower was a major plus. Showering after long day on beach with a view is one of kind the staff including Dennis and all the bartenders were friendly and drinks were great. Pool was nice and shaded and refreshing from the 85 degree day Would recommend for any couples wanting to get away and relax

This was one of the best experiences we have had on the island. We also stayed at the Kimpton just to get different experiences but I'll comment on that place in a different forum. Pros: Right on the Beach (it is not a wide or long beach) but any of the units, beach or jungle are right on the beach Small but comfy rooms with regular and slide doors. We didn't use the sliding door because of the rain, but it would have been nice. Excellent warm service from the check-in staff to each of the servers. It was october so we do got caught in a rainstorm and was stuck in the room and the afternoon server/bartender Dennis brought beers to our room. And in the afternoon, if it is still rainy they bring you hot chocolate (we put a splash of rum in ours for our beach walk. You can walk anywhere. If you stay in once of the nicer places near west bay you will have a walk to get anywhere. Good Pillows and plenty of towels. Meticulously cleaned every morning from night droppings. Breakfast is the best on the island. I had the tipical honduran breakfast of beans (seasoned and blended), chorizo, avocado, eggs and tortilla. It was the second best item we ate all week, the best item as the fish soup, while expensive at $30 was perfectly seasoned with tender fish. Armed guard 24, not that you need it, but you feel safe. We never locked our room. Dinner menus is excellent but pricey. They had an excellent guitarist one night. they also had pizza/pasta one night on the beach but with wind and such they didn't sell much. Cons: There is not much to say here. We went in October and wouldn't go again because it rained daily and stormed one day. Getting in and out of the place by road is messy/dirty/muddy. Get a car or ride. Rooms are small and storage is minimal, so during rain you are cooped up in there Pool is nice but because of tree cover doesn't get sun or heat. Overall, we agree with others on this site. This place is great, intimate, small but luxurious and worth the price. When we wanted an afternoon snack we just popped next door to Bananarama for their excellent fish tacos. One thing I'll say is that it was low season, and it rained, but they kept their staff fully employed and engaged. I think the rooms were less than 30% booked, but they took care of their staff. There is a recommended but not required 10% tip on every meal which we thought was appropriate and is shared within the staff. When we got extra service, we tipped with USD which was appreciate. We noticed many repeat customers and we will be one of them.

An overall wonderful experience! The location is beautiful, meticulously clean, and the service is top tier. The staff are very warm and welcoming. They made accomodations for our Babymoon that really showed that they actually care. Olive is wonderful and so helpful. Tyrone the manager was very quick to respond to everything we needed and always made a point to stop and talk to us. Tevin and Dennis at the bar were excellent and even though we had a lot of rain, they always made us feel welcome and made sure we were having a good time. I had an amazing stay at the Arca Resort in Roatan! The staff was exceptional—everyone from the attentive front desk team to the top-notch bar staff made us feel right at home. The groundskeepers did a fantastic job keeping everything beautiful, and the security team was both friendly and professional. The resort's location strikes the perfect balance between relaxation and fun activities. We can't wait to book our next visit! A special shout-out to Hennessey and Tyrone for their outstanding service!

My husband and I just returned from an 11 night stay at Arca. As It was low season due to the rain, we weren't quite sure what to expect. We sure landed on our feet, the weather was glorious, only one thunderstorm, and the resort was quiet. We'd go back again in a heartbeat, but again during the low season as it is more laid back. Arca, led by Tyrone and his staff, were exemplary. Every special touch, including our room upgrade, every meal and drink made, every room refresh etc, were all done with the utmost care and concern for their guests. Do yourself a favor and go ahead and book with Arca. By far, from what we saw and experienced, it is the best in Roatan!

This is our 2nd stay at ARCA. To say that it is fabulous is an absolute understatement! They really have thought of almost everything! The rooms are so nice. We stay on the 2nd floor & get one of the rooms that has both an indoor and an outdoor shower. We use the outdoor shower only - delightful! They have darkening shades to put down at night so you get excellent sleep. The staff is exceptional from front desk, wait staff, bartenders, housekeeping & security. The breakfast is delicious. They have placed rope around the beach chairs - a reco we made the first stay & so glad they followed through. It will be even better if they move the rope about 6 more feet out. If that doesn't happen-pro tip: place your lounge chair on other side of the rope for the first part of the day (after cruise shippers have found a place to hang out for the day) otherwise, you will have a slew of them camping out & mostly standing right in front of you-along with the vendors doing braids/massages & selling their goods. I can't recommend ARCA enough. It's absolutely beautiful, relaxing & they have thought of all things to make you comfortable. 🩵

Staying at Arca was an absolute dream. The property is so serene and beautiful. The pool and waterfall really add to the peaceful vibe. The rooms are comfortable, plenty of air, great showers, & a porch to sit and relax on. The daily breakfast is absolutely delicious, as was all the food we ate while we stayed. I think we ordered the sashimi every single day. The drinks are to die for and all of that staff is so friendly, happy, and attentive. Arca’s beachfront is by far the best in all of West Bay. The staff made our stay so incredibly special. The manager, Tyrone, is phenomenal and has done a great job with his entire staff. A special thanks to Jo, Victoria, Tevin, & Jeremy for greeting us with smiles every day and taking such wonderful care of us! Things I highly recommend: banana pancakes breakfast, hamachi sashimi, the wings, pina coladas, & the local beers! There are plenty of places right by the bar to have a cocktail and watch the sunset. There are so many activities right by Arca you can just walk to. I can’t wait to come back. Thank you Arca & your amazing staff for one of the best vacations I’ve ever had!

Some background; we've been traveling to Roatan, particularly West Bay, for years. We've stayed at hotels (on and off the beach), and condos on the beach. Arca is a newly renovated hotel and it was our first time staying here. If you like being RIGHT on the beach and walking distance to anything you need this is the place for you. You can literally walk a few feet from your hotel room to the beach. The hotel is small and quaint and has a nice restaurant, a bar on the beach, and a delightful pool. You can walk a few yards up the road and you'll find restaurants, markets, a pharmacy, and more. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The breakfast choices were varied and the food itself was delicious. Our server Jocelyn took amazing care of us all week! Our group stayed in 2 of the jungle junior suites, the Cayos Villa and the Port Royal Villa. The villas have balconies that face the ocean, and while you can't really see the water it was a serene and lovely view anyway. I will say if someone else is staying in the Deluxe Guanaja Suite, it is right in the middle of the 2 villas. We were a little worried about bothering the guests that were staying in that room; it is not a private balcony as you are semi-sharing it with your neighbor. The largest suite, Port Royal had a decent kitchen, 2 bathrooms, 2 large bedrooms with King beds, and the couch folded out into a surprisingly comfortable bed for our teenage nephew (Linens were provided). The space was large enough for 5, but honestly, if you spend much time in your room, you aren't enjoying West Bay! The Cayos Villa was great for close friends or family to share. I only say that because there is only 1 bathroom. Both kitchens had a nice-sized refrigerator. We didn't cook, but it seemed there were plenty of dishes to do so. The beds/linens/pillows were comfortable enough and we slept well, especially since there are ceiling fans and a mini-split AC in each room! The hotel provided bottled water, bathroom toiletries, and basic kitchen amenities like paper towels, etc....I didn't notice a coffee maker, but they put out coffee near the beach every morning before breakfast and of course served it with breakfast as well. Beach/pool towels were provided. A couple of suggestions: there was not a substantial place to store your clothes in the rooms. A small rod was provided to hang a few things, but if you did hang anything it made it difficult to access the shelf underneath it. Also, we had a group of friends and family (total of 8 in the 2 villas) and there was only one key for Cayos and 2 for Port Royal. There was a keypad on the door, not sure why they couldn't just program a code for guests. And while we stay in the water all day, some folks might like to have an umbrella for shade on the beach. That being said there were always plenty of beach chairs available and some shade depending on time of day. All in all, they did a great job with the new hotel. We thoroughly enjoyed our week here!
