Welcome to this spacious and private apartment very close to NYC (average travel time to Midtown Manhattan is about 15 mins door-to-door). This apartment is about 700 square feet (65 m2). There is a living room with sofa bed (sleeps maximum 2 people), kitchen, full bathroom, bedroom with queen bed (sleeps 2). Convenient location with restaurants and shopping nearby. Clean and safe area. Well-lit at night. No parties, events, or smoking of any kind -- strictly enforced. This is a private apartment and you have access to the whole space. The apartment is located on the first floor of a 3-story apartment building. If you need to park your car, please note there is a 2-hour parking limit on most streets during the day and you are not able to leave your car overnight on most streets. Unfortunately, we cannot be responsible for your vehicle when it is parked on the street. Secure parking is available in the locked and gated driveway behind the building. You must pay the parking fee in advance to the host. The fee is $25 per car per night. The driveway can fit up to 2 cars. You will be able to lock and unlock the driveway gate to access your vehicle. Contact us in advance of booking for more details and to know if parking is available and how to pay for parking. The easiest way to NYC Midtown Manhattan is to take NJ Transit Bus 123 at the corner of 24th St and Palisade Ave (one block away). The return bus leaves from Gate 214 in Port Authority Bus Terminal. Self check-in and check-out are available. There is a lockbox with keys at the entry door to the building. We will send you the code to the lock box on the day of your arrival, not earlier. We may not be available to support you during check-in if you arrive very late at night (after 11:00 pm) and we will not issue refunds for problems with checking in after 11:00 pm. Some recent guests have arrived with higher expectations than what I can provide given the age of the building. The apartment looks like the photos in the listing and I keep it updated and clean. If you are looking for a modern and luxury stay, this is probably not the place for you. We also just want to make clear that you are renting an apartment and not a hotel room. There are many differences between short-term apartment rentals and hotels, and some newer guests to this platform may not realize it. Hotels are large and often have many rooms, and the ability to change your room should issues arise. Hotels also have staff 24/7 that can help you with every issue or questions that you may have. Guests are responsible for bagging all garbage and placing the bags in the bins outside the building, or at the curb, as instructed by the host (host will communicate with guest regarding this). If your unit has a thermostat and the thermostat is locked, do not tamper with it or try to break open the lock. Doing so is called vandalism and is highly inappropriate. We will withhold your security deposit if you do this and possible submit for more damages depending on the situation. Also, guests must leave the apartment in the condition they found it (e.g. no leftover food, nothing that creates a need for excessive or deep cleaning). Please wash all dishes that you use, remove food that you've brought in, and discard all trash. Our cleaning fee is lower than most and it covers basic cleaning tasks like washing of linens and towels, vacuuming, etc. The cleaning fee does not cover deep cleaning, excessive kitchen and bathroom cleaning, etc. Thanks for your cooperation! If you check out late, there will be a $100 per hour fee for each hour or fraction of an hour that you stay beyond the check out time. If you smoke, use incense, use drugs of any kind (including marijuana and cannabis) anywhere on the property including outside areas and common areas, we will charge a $300 fee. If there are damages related to smoking or drug use, we will charge fees in addition to this $300.
