Lying under the thick, protective tree trunk in the treehouse was undoubtedly the highlight of my stay! At first glance, the treehouse appeared like a charming wooden cabin perched high among the trees, but as I approached, I discovered how thoughtfully it was designed. A gentle ramp led the way up, inviting me into a cozy, nature-infused haven. From the room, the view stretched out into an endless expanse of lush greenery, with the soothing sound of a gurgling stream and the cheerful chorus of chirping birds as a constant backdrop. Far from the traffic chaos of Bangalore, we relished every peaceful moment, soaking in the serenity. The resort offers a variety of activities to keep guests entertained, from tranquil nature trails to a refreshing pool; I ventured out only reluctantly, drawn back by the comfort of our treehouse. The culinary experience was outstanding, with no dish repeated during our two-day, three-night stay. Each meal was carefully curated and ended on a sweet note with the most delectable desserts. For those who enjoy a bit of adventure, the trails leading up the resort’s mountain are a must-try. And if you can bring yourself to leave the luxurious cocoon of the treehouse early in the morning, you’ll be rewarded with rare bird sightings that make it all worthwhile. A truly perfect getaway in Wayanad, Kerala.

Best homestay I’ve stayed in anywhere in south India. The caretakers are amazing, Ajay and Nisha are there for anything you need on the property. You get a great idea of what it’s like to live on a coffee plantation. Did a one of their treks on the property and one of their dogs even accompanied us on it. The food is top just amazing!! A lot of their food is prepared with local produce from the plantation. Got a variety of jams that would rival any restaurant. Must visit, especially if you’d like to stay in their beautiful tree house.

Beautiful place to separate yourself from the norms of a city life. Ajay and his family greeted us with hospitality that fed the soul and food that is warm to the heart ❤️ The doggos add so much to this wholesome experience. Can't wait to go back again.

We were keen to stay at Tranquil after a previous trip there fell through, and we're so pleased we did! The resort is all we wanted and more - comfortable, beautiful and relaxing. We stayed in the Pool Villa, which is extremely well appointed, with very tasteful and good-quality fittings. Ajay and Nisha are wonderful hosts - friendly, helpful and cheerful - and their staff (especially Mr Swamy) could not do enough to make our stay special. The food was delicious and plentiful, and we enjoyed the massages. Thank god for the walks around the estate - if it weren't for them we'd have lounged around way too much for our own good! Ajay and Nisha were great hosts, we had such a lovely few nights at Tranquil. On arrival, we were presented with a superb late lunch, whech we really weren't expecting. Indeed, all the food was absolutely delicious, first rate. The evening bar was very good for meeting up with the other guests and, although maybe not everyone's ideal, we really enjoyed the communal eating arrangement. The swimming pool is gorgeous. Tranquil is in a fantastic location and the walking routes make it very special. Ajay also took time to show us the coffee plantation and explain the processes involved, which was much appreciated and very interesting. We stayed in one of the treehouses, which was great fun, even the monkey invasion on our last morning! Most of the time it was a very peaceful refuge, with just the sounds of the forest for relaxation. The treehouse is about to undergo a big refusrbishment - that would earn a 5th star from us I'm sure. Thank you to Ajay and Nisha and all the brilliant staff for a great stay.

Obsessed with this hotel, can not recommend it highly enough! The setting is mindblowing, it is up in the mountains surrounded by plantations. The best part of the hotel is that there are walking trails all around the grounds, with maps, signs and trail markings. The nature and scenery is outstanding. The hotel is decorated with millions of plants, some of which are in pots made from recycled materials, it is a complete oasis for nature lovers. I would highly recommend the treehouses but you need to book them in advance. Another amazing aspect of Tranquil was the food, everything was home-made including all the jams, chutneys and pickled condiments. The food was a buffet but it was always varied, we had a delicious coconut milk vegetable soup served in a whole green coconut! We booked for one night but loved it so much that we had to extend! The only negative is that we did a bag of laundry not checking the prices in the booklet in the room or asking the staff as we dropped it off in a rush, when we left we were charged £40 for it! The same bag of laundry was only £3 everywhere else in our trip, we were very shocked at the price and think the staff should always mention it is 50p for one sock so it doesn't come as a shock and the guests have a chance to reduce the quantity.
