Octopus Resort

Great resort and tucked away from everything. Beach gorgeous and beautiful blue water. Staff were accommodating and friendly. Villa hut we stayed in was cute with a outside shower. Food was delicious.

From the moment we approached the Island by boat boat, you are greeted with friendly laughs and singing. Friendly smiles all round. Singing a welcome song and playing a ukulele the second you lay your feet on the golden beach. Bure’s are in a traditional Fiji thatch style in and out. Beachfront, the ones we stayed in comes equipped with a swing bed, hammock as well as a couple loungers. Food from the food plan menu is exceptional and plentiful. You are most definitely never hungry. The resort is packed with activities that are free to do and snorkelling from the beach is excellent during high or low tide. All gear snorkelling gear can be provided by the resort free of charge. Awesome kids club and always happy to take care of the kids if your diving excursion takes longer than normal Amazing diving options here too. Very easy to mingle with everyone and kind of place you meet friends for life.

Such an amazing place to stay. The reef snorkelling (main reason for choosing here) was excellent, the staff so friendly and welcoming and the food and accommodation was amazing. First time in Fiji and was very glad we chose to come to octopus. Will definitely be back

We chose Octopus, because it had child-friendly facilities and were not disappointed. Octopus has a kids club, a separate teenagers club, option to hire a nanny, kids menu and a children-only dinner table, a playground, plus a variety of free activities. The staff were fantastic, kind, friendly and made every guest feel special. The meal choices were varied and plentiful, we never went hungry and could choose options that suited every taste. Breakfast is a combination of buffet (eg toast, coffee) and an ordered meal (eg scrambled eggs or pancakes). Lunch is one large ordered dish (eg a pizza or a tuna salad). Dinner is a 4-course meal with a starter, sorbet, main dish and dessert. Food was fresh and of high quality. The resort has its own pizza oven. The island’s weather and scenery are absolute paradise. Cyan blue waters full of corals and colourful fish. We were treated to a scenic sunset every evening. We hope to come back.

Spent four nights at Octopus resort. Despite the weather, we both had an amazing experience! The food was incredible, the beach was gorgeous and the staff were very accomodating! We finally had some good weather on the last day and decided to go island snorkeling which was one of the best snorkel sites we had done. Would love to go back again one day!

Visited for my wife’s birthday, unfortunately I had a medical emergency my 2nd day in and needed to be evacuated by helicopter. All staff were fantastic, caring and concerned about my welfare. They looked after my wife while I was in hospital for three days and organised my transport back to the island when I was well. Can’t speak highly enough about the resort and the staff. Food is some of the best I have had anywhere.

We are very experienced Fiji travellers and Octopus was pretty disappointing. For couples…Garden villa is below standard - archaic sliding door to bathroom, one only sink, inefficient toilet and NO power. Staff desperately need training…not up to normal Fiji friendliness. Infrastructure needs improving. Maybe OK for youngish backpackers but others take care.
