Fairfield Inn & Suites Washington

I stayed here overnight on my way to Nags Head on June 11, 2022, & it is a gorgeous & spotlessly clean hotel! The lady at the front desk on Saturday evening was very helpful. The ladies at the breakfast in the morning were friendly too! The suite I had was perfection & the bathroom was especially immaculate. Compliments to their housekeeping staff. I thought it was brand-new Fairfield Inn, but they said the hotel is 5 yrs old. It is well-cared for & maintained for sure! There are limited dining choices around this hotel, but in the charming town of Washington - there are a number of restaurants & cafes. The riverfront in the county seat of Washington NC is pleasant to walk along plus take a look/see at their Underground Railroad Museum. Lots of history here!

We travel to Washington nc to visit our children and grandchildren each time we stay at the Fairfield inn. Very modern clean great breakfast in a large clean room. Lots of choices of food. Hotel staff very friendly

Breakfast is a must for me and I don’t know why the bacon & eggs was cold. Staff took the coffee down to early. Food service need to improve the quality of service Room was beautiful, cleaning service was excellent!!

We were in town for a swim competition at ECU and all hotels in Greenville were booked. This ended up being a super easy 25 min drive to campus. Hotel was very clean and staff were all so friendly. Five stars are given because front desk staff was so accommodating to our request of a late checkout so my son could rest before finals that evening. Thank you!!

I was told that I HAD to prepay my room. So I did. But then when I needed to leave a day early, they wouldn't refund me my money because I prepaid. I was told that if I hadn't prepaid, I wouldn't have been charged the extra night. BUT THE STAFF AT THE HOTEL TOLD ME I HAD TO PREPAY. Something very dishinest going on there. The manager, Stephanie, refussed to speak with me.

I liked the hotel. It was comfortable and clean. What I did not like was the GM rules she gave to her front desk employees. We waited over an hour during our check in due to a policy that this one particular hotel has about having our Friends and Family form printed out. I have always sent an email to the hotel with a copy of the form. This is the only Marriott hotel that does not trust their employees with an email at the front desk. Also, their guest computer would crash when we logged in to print out our form there. I was told that I had to have a hard copy of the form. It does say you need a copy at check in, but doesn't say a hard paper copy. This was the GM policy, not Marriott. We have been to a lot of Marriott hotels and always provided either paper or email copies without a problem until now. A woman that was at the same hotel was unable to print out her flight ticket and was told she would have to go to Office Depot several minutes away to print it out. The staff told me the same thing to get the form printed out. I asked to talk to the GM, but she was conveniently absent. I asked the front desk to have the GM call me. It has been several days and still no call back. This must be the worst GM I have ever encountered. She is obviously a micromanager of her employees and does not trust them. She is also terrible at custer service when someone is having a problem. Very frustrated with the whole situation and I am typically a very positive person.

The attentive staff took care of us after our daughter got sick with food poisoning from the restaurant next door and had an accident in the room. The rooms were updated and clean. They were nice enough to move us to a room. Breakfast was pretty complete and the common areas were nice to have breakfast or just relax. We will be returning and we are happy that there is a nice hotel near Chocowinity, NC＞
