Unfortunately there were only 2 young lads working in the whole hotel. They didn’t seem very knowledgable, they charged me for the stay although I had already paid through trip - they did refund me, but that was after I went to speak to them showing them my bank statement.. and my husband then had to go back again to get the refund sorted! For some reason speaking to me wasn’t enough!! They had hardly any meals available in the restaurant. Only burgers! The room itself needs a massive uplift, the bathroom looked really unclean and falling apart. Really sad stay considering it was part of a Christmas gift. Definitely won’t be returning.

Is fine

The hotel was clean and looked up to standard. The issues we had was the lack of parking after a certain time, you cannot find a space and have to park elsewhere regardless if you’ve paid. If you have a room that looks out onto the road you’ll find that the noise from the cars that go past is extremely noisy. I also had an issue at breakfast where I found some mould floating in my glass from apple juice that had been poured from the dispenser, the issue was raised with a member of staff and they couldn’t have cared less.

We have stayed in this hotel twice a year since it opened and sadly it seems to have gone downhill. It has added luxury rooms, which are good, but our problem is with the restaurant. On our last visit in September '24 the kitchen ran out of most food and we were only offered a curry, rice and naan bread. On this occasion the kitchen was obviously very short staffed (as was the waiting staff). Our table had been booked for the wrong time. We waited approximately 45 minutes for our food. When it was served it was inedible and badly presented. Other guests were complaining that their food was cold. Finally the harassed waitress apologised to everyone and didn't charge for food or drink. This is just not good enough when we had been attending a trade show, walking all day, and just wanted to relax rather than have to drive to a restaurant.

We travelled down from Scotland to go to my brother's funeralI. Two twin rooms . We Usually have a good experience with The Premier Inn. We were disappointed this time. Firstly both rooms which were next door to each other had blocked loos and the sink didn’t run away. The shower curtain was very smelly and hadn’t been washed . Why not use a glass door ? Also it was very noisy with doors banging through the night . Nobody to ask for help at reception so left a message with one of the cleaners . Sorry to be negative but wouldn’t want anyone else to experience the blocked drain experience.

My room wasn’t great to start off with as I had an issue with the bed (bedding wasn’t clean) however the manager sorted it out quickly and upgraded me to the premier plus room, so it made up for it. You have to book for breakfast and dinner as we were asked when we attended the restaurant but weren’t informed at the check in
