Warrington Centre

The waterside is a convenient hotel for most places in Warrington. Easy to get to and plenty of parking between the hotel and the adjacent restaurant- but do make sure you register your car on the consul if you are using either! Check in was easy and the receptionist very capable. My room was basic but comfortable. The hotel though really needs a complete makeover as judging by what I saw it was last fitted out in the eighties. The owners have to remember that other hotels will have had a refurbishment and that is their competition. The adjacent restaurant again is tired looking but I did enjoy both my evening meal and my breakfast and again staff were fine. The bed was really comfortable. Not a great choice of tea or coffee in my room. So I enjoyed my stay but would love to see the hotel get a refurb.

The staff here are lovely but there’s been a clear lack of investment by the owner in recent years. For example, old ‘mixer tap’ showers that are a pain in the backside to use. I doubt I would stay again unless the rooms were re-vamped. I must reiterate however that the staff do everything they can with very basic resources.

Rooms are in need of an upgrade but rooms are currently being decorated which is a good side. Having said that the rooms are clean and beds are comfortable. Breakfast at the pub across the road is a particular highlight. Would definitely stay again

The mattress was nice but the pillows were not and the tv didn’t allow Netflix or other streaming services on it the shower was nice and hot and it was warm in the night. It was quite in the night the restaurant was good for food across the street and there was a vending machine with food the snacks 9/10

Never stay here. I was ill for a week after my stay. Cold rooms, mould on the walls and ceiling, no heating. I cannot find the words to describe how bad it is. The only positive is that I did not pay for this and it was booked by my business for a work trip. I’d be gutted if I had paid for this.

The hotel staff are amazing nothing is too much bother the rooms are spotless and food is really good too the lady on the front desk Mrs Ryder was brilliant she had local knowledge of the area and went above and beyond to make sure your stay was perfect. Thank you so much we will be definitely be staying again
