Himalayan Dragon's Nest Hotel

The settings on the river bank, the views, and the ground all are terrific. But the hotel is old. The room was decent size, with a huge bathroom featuring a bathtub and separate shower. The furniture was dated. N a/c. Instead a ceiling fan producing an unpleasant noise. Absolutely no wi-fi in the room. You can get some sporadic signal in the lobby. Breakfast was average although they were very nice to prepare it for us at 5 am.

I booked the stay for 2 nights at this hotel, but I left just staying after 1 night. Eventually, my money was wasted as I had to book another hotel. No AC in rooms, no switch to connect phone chargers, no switch for tea kettle, small rooms, no intercom, dirty washrooms, broken switch boards, AC not working in lobby and restaurant and lastly no maintenance at all. Even the basic things like water bottles were not in stock. The manager is least bothered about maintaining the property and giving services to the customers. This property is totally a mess. The only good thing was staff and food at this hotel. Everything else was worse.

Basic hotel with large rooms and each has a nice view across the river. Heat in room is by a portable radiator, so either the area near bed is warm or the bathroom. We had both breakfast and dinner here and food was not great compared to other places we stayed in Bhutan. Staff was not particularly friendly.
