Mari del Sud Resort

I recently stayed at this hotel, which is beautifully situated in the middle of the island, offering breathtaking views of both the volcano and the sea. The location and scenery are undoubtedly its strongest points. However, the overall experience did not live up to the hotel's 4-star rating. The room we were given was not properly cleaned, and although I had explicitly booked for three people, there was no linen provided for my child's bed. This forced my child to sleep with me in the main bed, which was not what I expected. Additionally, there was no cover for the mattress—a basic necessity that should be standard in any hotel, let alone a 4-star one. Our experience at the restaurant was disappointing as well. The food was mediocre, with the fish clearly being frozen, which is especially unacceptable given the island setting. We had booked dinner during midsummer, and a kids' menu was promised at the time of reservation. Yet, nothing was prepared for our child, and the staff had to scramble to arrange something at the last minute. We didn't receive our first dish until around 10 PM, by which time our 2-year-old had already fallen asleep. The staff was generally okay, but the service at the restaurant left much to be desired. The waitress who served us was not particularly friendly, which added to the overall sense of disappointment. In summary, while the hotel's location and views are stunning, the service and attention to detail were lacking. The stay did not meet the standards expected of a 4-star hotel, and I cannot recommend it based on our experience.

Bad service and over charging. Service with a scowl. Front of house moaned when we asked to sit by the sea as per our booking. My wife explained that she was vegan and if she could have a salad and focaccia. She was recommended the bresaola salad without the bresaola. The other pizza arrived, then a 5 min wait for the salad which arrived with the bresaola and after my wife complained they just removed the bresaola. Not really the done thing, so they remade the salad, which was essentially a bowl of carrot and iceberg. Focaccia arrives after another 15 minutes after repeated reminders. Bill arrives with full charge for bresaola salad and after reminding them that it was just a bowl of iceberg they took 2euro from the dish. Poor service, poor food, bad experience.

Abbiamo soggiornato in coppia per 4 giorni in questa struttura davvero bella. Piscina a tempo illimitato tranne i lettini ed ombrelloni sulla spiaggia che sono a pagamento. Camere pulite a parte le formiche che sembrano essere loro i proprietari. Colazione stile buffet con vasta scelta. Tutto sommato lo consiglio per passare una vacanza indimenticabile.

Un paradiso hawaiano in Sicilia! Ottimo cocktail preparati a bordo piscina, spiaggia a pochi metri con mare favoloso. Perfetto per una settimana di relax a pochi passi dall’incantevole passeggiata verso il cratere. Camere arredate nel dettaglio e staff competente e sempre pronto ad ogni richiesta! Una favola che diventa realtà. Il tutto in una vegetazione unica ricca di infinite tipologie di piante

Siamo stati davvero bene! Bellissima struttura con un giardino meraviglioso che da solo vale il prezzo. Camera spaziosa, materasso e cuscini ottimi. Il personale molto professionale e sempre pronto per ogni problema. Buona la colazione nella terrazza sul mare. Concordo col fatto che le potenzialità di questo resort sono ben altre, ma il rapporto qualità prezzo fa sì che possiamo godere di tanta bellezza ad un prezzo giusto. Un elogio particolare a Melo per la sua presenza e disponibilità. Da consigliare e da ritornarci!

Struttura top. Personale professionale, disponibile e cortese. Dovevamo essere in tre in camera tripla purtroppo siamo rimaste in due e Valentina ci ha fatto pagare x due mantenendo la stessa camera. Gesto molto apprezzato. Colazione varia e di ottima qualità
