Grecotel Meli Palace

Wow where do I start! Just returned from a 2 week stay at this most amazing hotel.From the moment we arrived we were made to feel so welcome. I cannot praise the all the extremely hard working staff and management enough. They are always smiling and cannot do enough for you and this really made our holiday. The hotel is immaculately clean and well maintained. The choice and quality of the food was outstanding- in the 2 weeks we were there we managed to eat something different at every meal time. So much beautiful fruits, salads, meats, fresh fish, seafood etc. The staff serve you drinks. Would like to especially mention Irenea who served our drinks first most of the time- her smile and friendliness really was infectious. The grounds are beautiful and having the private beach straight in front of you was fantastic. The beach was always very clean and didn’t really have any issues getting sunbeds. There is a large lawned area that leads to the beach where you can also lay in the sunbeds. I would highly recommend using the spa. I had an amazing full body scrub, mask, massage and facial from the lovely Christina - I felt like I was walking on air when I left and she really is a lovely warm hearted lady. It was my birthday whilst we were away and when we returned to our room there was a bottle of champagne, bottle of wine, fruit and birthday cake - was such a lovely surprise and gesture! Our Rep Christian was one of the best reps we have had- he was very helpful and knowledgeable and easy to find if we had any questions. There is entertainment every night and it was nice that the children’s entertainment was separate which if you don’t have children is great as don’t have to sit through all of it waiting for the adult/family entertainment to come on. However, if we can come when our children were younger I’m sure they would have loved it as it was clear the staff really care about Children. The entertainment was mixed with either the animation team putting on a show or quite often professional acts coming in - the fire and light show was probably the best. If you didn’t fancy the entertainment there were plenty of other areas to sit and relax including the bar which served lovely cocktails using named spirits at no extra cost. The bar staff were also very friendly. The rooms were cleaned daily and the bedding also was changed daily. I cannot remember everyone’s names but you were all amazing. We were also impressed on how much the hotel cares about sustainability. So thank you to all of you for a wonderful holiday. We have found our special place and cannot wait to return next year.

What a wonderful holiday we just had, the staff are so friendly the hotel is clean and the food has been amazing, we didn't want to go home. Rooms are a little dated but clean and comfortable. Entertainment is not the best at night, but the daytime programs are good. The spa, however, was phenomenal. Christina was superb and so friendly. We will be back next year

Wow what a hotel … the staff at this hotel couldn’t do enough to help us they went above a beyond what we expected especially the following who were superb. Rosemary Crisoula Ioanna Antonis Anna Alex Chrysa Alexandros We can’t thank them enough they made our holiday complete. We had a great send off with plenty of hugs which we didn’t expect. A very clean hotel superb selections of food always something different plenty of choices. The drinks were superb best “Pina Colada ever. Bar staff were great. I suggest they could open the bottom bar in the evening too which could help along with some of the rooms could be up updated ( but you are not in your room a lot ) but that’s our only criticism. It has its own private beach with life guard ( they also sweep it everyday and clean down sun loungers) which is lovely plenty of sun loungers so there’s no rush to put your towels out like some hotels I fact they don’t allow it. Towels are provided so you don’t have to bring any from home as are hairdryers in rooms. The sea is quite stoney but clear and superb for snorkelling and with the proper shoes very accessible. The hotel is not far from Sissi a lovely original Greek village which has a lovely harbour lovely quality shops and bars not spoilt by commercialism. You can walk to it but also the hotel will ring a taxi for you. If you want a relaxed holiday with great staff who can’t do enough for you, excellent food and drink then you can’t go wrong with this hotel … we loved it and would recommend it to anyone.
