Quinta de Fiães

We arrived at this darling farm after a long drive from Porto. When we pulled up to the stone house, we were greeted by a beautiful woman, Anna Maria who is the daughter of the woman that owns the business. She apologized that the elevator had died in last night’s thunder and lightning storm. We are seniors and had 2 suitcases bigger than she is! But she carried them upstairs. The room was large and had a spectacular bathroom that also had a balcony! We could shower with a view of the vineyard! The vineyard grows grapes but no longer bottles or sells their wine privately so there is no facility to tour. After we settled into our gorgeous room with a terrific balcony, Bruno ( the partner of Anna Maria) brought us two lovely glasses of wine and chips to enjoy on our balcony.We opted to lounge around in the yard and enjoy the company of the four farm dogs who live there as well as the other guests. We had dinner cooked by mom both nights. It was $30 each for dinner and we had to pay for bottled water and wine.Total was $130 for both nights. They also provided a free Porto and tonic cocktail to us both nights. The place is pretty remote so if you don’t want to eat in, plan ahead to make reservations in a nearby area. A continent beautiful breakfast is included. The grounds are stupendous and you can walk 15 minutes to see the river. There is a huge pool which is refreshing but not heated. Guests still were in it, as Europeans cope with cold better than us Yanks! The best thing about the place were the people. Bruno was a great host. Laura was very warm as was her sister who was her helper. Anna Maria and her son Simon made us feel like we were her favorite aunties! Take a look at my pics for a taste of paradise.

Stayed here as part of a cycling trip, wow this place didn’t disappoint. The owners were so friendly and helpful, it was like a home from home only better. On our 14 day tour this Quinta was the jewel in crown. Food, wine, standard of room was sublime, highly recommended if your in area, our only regret was we couldn’t stay longer, but will hopefully return one day.

Excelente fim de semana. Obrigada a toda a equipa pela simpatia e atenção. Ótimo espaço para relaxar em família, em comunhão com a natureza. Animais muito meigos. Espaço muito agradável e limpo. Comida muito boa. Excelente serviço. A repetir!

A Quinta de Fiães é ideal para quem quer relaxar no silêncio do Douro com uma receção e cuidado maravilhoso de toda a Família que gere a Quinta!! Super recomendo! Os quartos/casas/espaços muito bem decorados, com um requinte e decoração extremamente bonito! Obrigatório desfrutar de um jantar na quinta feito pelas mãos da Mãe Laura, que é assim tudo delicioso!!! A melhor mousse de chocolate e bolo bolacha :)

Heel mooie locatie, gastheer en dame zorgen ervoor dat je in de watten wordt gelegd. Appartement super proper. Ontbijt mag iets ruimer als je wat langer verblijft. Veel te doen in de omgeving vraagt wel wat reistijd. Zwembad is heel goed van grootte.

Um fim de semana cheio de energia positiva. Desfrutei de dois dias nesta quinta com o meu marido. Tudo perfeito 👌 Um atendimento irrepreensível por parte do Bruno e da Sara. A D. Laura é uma cozinha de mão cheia e de uma simpatia contagiante. Uma família que sabe receber e acolher da melhor forma quem vem de fora. O ambiente perfeito , em harmonia total entre a natureza, o animal e o homem. Um pequeno luxo escondido no meio da natureza. Aconselho vivamente a visitarem a quinta e a descobrirem o Douro . O nosso muito obrigada ao Bruno, Sara, Ana Maria ,D. Laura e todo o staff. Soberbo…..
