Browns Sports Resort

We stayed at hotel do golf ..and went to brown's the food is really good and not expensive ..the staff are lovely ..they do a dish of the day ...my husband liked it in there for the sports ..have a few tvs 📺 in there ..really recommend this place ..

I spent a week at Vila Moura with family having traveled from Australia. My usual routine is to do 3-4 gym workouts each week and there wasn’t much information about fitness centres in VilaMoura. Fortunately with a little help from Google Maps I found Browns and walked there (25 mins from Tennis Villas). It’s an attractive walk up past the golf course and the Staff, in particular the delightful lady in Reception could not have been more welcoming and helpful ( particularly for an Aussie who speaks no Portuguese 😊). I visited four times, had access to the gym, inside and outside pool and change rooms for 20Euros per visit or week at 70Euros. It’s a well equipped gym and my wife joined me one day and relaxed by the pool and had coffee in the cafe. A great find that really helped to make this a pleasant and healthy visit.

I wasn’t expecting Much, so wasn’t disappointed. Feels like a hall of residence. Was sharing a double studio apartment - tiny kitchenette/diner ( no soft furnishings just dining table and hard bench like seat) with 2 ensuite rooms and separate entrances. Bedroom and bathroom ok and clean. Few damp patches so wouldn’t want to be here over the real winter. Was here for husband’s walking football and sports facilities seem good and well maintained but bar/restaurant mediocre at best. Good if you are involved in the sport or are a sports fanatic but if not give it a miss, doesn’t cater for trailing spouses and no bus service so at mercy of taxis. The nearest restaurants 30min walk. Good little supermarket 15 min walk but kitchenette limits what can do as tiny and lacking a few essential tools All in all if you’re not at all bothered about basic creature comforts, good food and only want to play football/tennis/workout then ok otherwise give it a miss. If you come with a non sports loving partner do them a favour - Stay elsewhere and just come for trining and tournament -

We came here for food as our villa was near to the resort. The waiter was very attentive and helpful, the menu is basic however, I found the food enjoyable and would happily go back. Prices are really reasonable, particularly for Vilamoura…..

We were enjoying the laziest holiday ever staying on Aldeia Do Golf (gorgeous site by the way) and walked here for a change. We didn't want to do anything sporty (it was a lazy holiday as I said, eating and drinking and some walking was as tough as it got) but they have a really good system. Instead of having to join you can buy credits, so if you are on holiday you can enjoy the very impressive facilities reasonably. As it was, we just ate and drank there, talked to the very friendly locals and expats, and very good it was too.
