ROBINSON QUINTA DA RIA - All Inclusive

12 of us just returned from 4 nights away at this hotel. We played the two golf courses attached to the hotel, both of these were in fantastic condition. We also played at Monte Rei, this was however in poor condition, definitely not worth the €220 at this time of year. I can’t fault this hotel at all, the rooms were spacious and clean and house keeping was very good. The food was exceptional, especially the evening meal, this was not the run of mill all inclusive hotel where all the food tastes the same. There was plenty of choice. The drinks menu was very good as well with Super Bock the draft beer. All the staff made us feel very welcome. A special mention needs to be said to all the other guests in the hotel, 90% would be German or from the Netherlands, they were so friendly and welcoming to us 12 English men, and we made many friends even in a small time.

Stayed in the resort for a short golf break and the food drink service and facilities were superb! Staff couldn't do enough for you and although residents were mainly German, 12 golfers from England always felt at home. Can't wait to return.

We are regular visitors to Robinson Quinta Da Ria, but wanted to review especially the wonderful Hot Stone dining experience we tried on 30th January. Igor & Marta with their chef team were fantastic. We had a lovely evening. The menu was varied and interesting, food was at a very high standard. It was a lovely touch for the team to come into the restaurant to thank us for coming and to toast the successful evening. We felt we were joining friends in their home dining room. Loved it and will be back again before returning home. If you stay at Robinson’s you really must try this one evening, highly recommended.

Just home from a weeks holiday in the Robinsons Quinta Da Ria. This is a very nice hotel in a fabulous location. The hotel rooms whilst a little dated are always very well cleaned daily. Food options, availability and service was excellent although perhaps more catered to adults as opposed to kids. As per other reviews there is a bit of a rampage for tables especially in the evenings and it is a pity this couldn’t be better organised. The wooden veranda flooring is questionable as the gaps did allow for a few wee visitors from the food droppings! The disappointment in this holiday was the limitations for English speaking nationals especially for the children. We had very limited awareness of what was happening on a daily basis as notifications were primarily in German/Portuguese and a little detail in English..our young children were never acknowledged or recognised or encouraged to participate. We were not offered a personal tour on arrival but again very notable in the following days how others were. We also requested a bag lift from room in morning but my husband ended up taking all our bags by himself to the waiting transfer. We certainly sensed not all guests treated the same. There was a lady doing ‘one in one’ swimming lessons in pool and whilst we stood with our 3 year old playing by steps she swam in between us showing no regard for our space or respect for us in the pool. To the point the child she was teaching was hitting our child with her noodle! Very strange behaviour it was honestly like we were invisible and we had been there quite a while at this stage. Most disappointing and certainly a massive area of concern was the tiles in the kids pool..on the first day our 3 yr old was playing on her knees in shallow end -with buckets etc and when she got up scraped the front of her foot very badly. This information was shared with rep and there was no follow up. Tavira is a beautiful holiday destination which we were lucky to visit, Robinsons is certainly rated as one of thee best places to stay in the area but it is important to note which we hadn’t realised it’s not necessarily for all nationalities or groups.

Had a amazing holiday here with my husband and my dad. The hotel is flat so was no problem for my dad who has mobility issues. From start to finish the staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms had everything needed, air con, fridge, safe, coffee machine. The pool area was lovely, a large pool and lots of sunbeds, there wasn't any rush to get one in the morning as there were plenty, lots of trees if you want some shade or plenty of room to move the sunbeds around. My husband played a round of golf and thoroughly enjoyed it, Great that it was walking distance to the golf club. I enjoyed a relaxing facial in the wellness centre which was amazing, would definately recommend. The food was delicious, lots of variety. I do agree with other guests that more 2 and 4 seated tables would be helpful as not everyone wants to eat with a group of people they dont know. I was pleasantly surprised that there was a great mix of Portuguese, German and English guests too. The evening entertainment was great, varied, we went to 2 shows in the theatre and enjoyed the live music outside. We enjoyed the shuttle to the beach bar. we also had a run out to Tavera , a lovely town only 10 mins away. Cant fault anything really, would definately come back.

Having visited the Robinson club twice before with a group of golfers and enjoyed it so much I visited again with my wife. She subsequently loves this place as much as me. The courses are great and the food in the hotel is brilliant, so much choice. Rooms are large and very comfortable with a fridge, coffee machine and a safe. The staff everywhere are friendly and helpful making our stay wonderful. We will be back.
