The staff are all very friendly and assisted me in all my needs. The location is superb. The cook makes delicious food at budget prices. Phun the receptionist is very informative on where to get things and helps in the taxi bookings which charges better than the tuktuks. The only setback I had were the mosquitoes in the far-end rooms because there are no draft stopper at the bottom of the doors. But they will give you a mosquito spray at night or they will tell the domestic worker to spray it for you during the day. I will surely recommend it to my friends and tell them to request not to put them in the far end rooms.

There's room for improvement of facilities, maintenance and cleanliness

Great location and very friendly and welcoming staff but that's probably all the pluses of this hotel in my opinion. There were a lot of ants even though we didn't eat in the room. Great bar nearby 50 meters to the left if you look towards the water.

2nd time staying here. Great location. Great staff. Drop of luaguage service if you arrive early. Close to the Mekong River, night market, and many restaurants.

Ii is ok but they do not have fridge in the room

Wifi in the room did not work even after they tried to reset it. The bathrooms had a foul smell of sewage waste quite filthy and mosquitos in the rooms. They did offer internet Cafe in the lobby through different wifi connection that worked.

Not bad for the price. They never asked if I wanted housekeeping service. Only one lady can actually speak English I think. But overall not a bad stay for the price.

I really like Mixok Inn because it is centrally located in the city and nearby attractions are walking distance. The receptionist was accommodating and he helped me booked a taxi to go to Buddha Park, which is 30 km from the city. He also helped me about my bus connection to Pakse. What I didn’t like was there was a weak hot water for the shower and the cleanliness of the room and bathroom was not in a very good standard.. it was clean enough but passable. I didn’t like the breakfast as well as the bread was not fresh. There was no butter instead they gave me a jam. Anyway, I would still recommend this hotel because the people were so helpful and the price for the bedroom was very cheap.

The lead receptionist was great. Breakfast was absolutely terrible. Bland does not begin to describe it. The night receptionist ripped me off when converting Thai baht to Laos kip. The attitude of many of the receptionists was beyond rude. It was a visa run and I stayed in a very cheap hotel but that does not forgive the terrible breakfast, the bad attitudes, and being ripped off. They could definitely bring some order, cleanliness, and ambiance to the reception and restaurant. But of paint and some nice lighting would not go astray.
