Hotel Corvinus Vienna - Newly Renovated

Nice and big comfortable room! Good location very convenient!

Let's break down my experience into two parts. First part is the utter lack of customer service presented by the hotel manager and the second part will be the room/hotel itself. I showed up on a Thursday night with my two teenagers for a 3 night stay. The manager asked why we had two rooms. I let him know we only had one room and showed him my printed reservation. He said that there were two reservations and that I had made a mistake and must pay for both rooms. He literally said it just like that. I explained that it must be a mistake, I never received an email confirmation of any kind so would have had no way of knowing that the website had booked two reservations. He said it was my fault and that I must have deleted the emails. Since I was in a foreign country and wanted to move past the mixup, I offered to pay the first night and asked him to rent out the room for the next two nights. Given it was a weekend in Vienna and that his hotel was sold out, I thought that was a good compromise. He agreed. Well, the short story is he rented the room out for Friday and Saturday at 40% of what I paid and said I would have to pay the difference plus the entire first night. We had a lively conversation about his lack of customer service, his unwillingness to compromise in any way, and his desire to blame me for the mistake. After about 15 minutes of this, he said that if I didn't pay this amount he would charge me for the full reservation cost of all 3 nights. Needless to say, it was a ridiculous interaction and horrible. So if you choose to stay at this hotel, just know that any mix up (your fault or not) will be blamed on you. As far as the hotel. The only thing going for it is it's location. Right on the main shopping street. The rooms are insanely small, even by European standards, the bathroom is about 6ft x 4ft, and the decor is old. It really is a 2-3 start hotel at best. Also, I booked my room in advance directly on the hotel website and the cost appears to have been considerably more than what you could reserve via Kayak or TripAdvisor, etc. So in conclusion the manager was terrible, deceptive, greedy, inflexible, and lacking integrity. The hotel itself was okay with it's primary benefit being it's location. Good Luck!

boked through a travel agent, and somehow dissapointed about the room, too small, and uncomfortable beds. However, very clean and very kind staff, but we would never rate this place a 4*, it is rather a B & B not in a separate building, but on a floor in a building, no lounge available. Location is super, very close to the underground and walking distance to the city centre. Continental breakfast nothing special

This hotel is amazing. Room service was great, everything was cozy. All of our requests were immediately met by the lovely staff. Location is fantastic, right on the Mariahilfer street, a long shopping street. Since the area is so popular, at night it could be a little noisy, but nothing that ruined our sleep. Want to say thanks again to the great owners who were very kind to us and made sure we are always comfortable.

War letzte woche wieder zu Gast im hotel Corvinus! Die Freundlichkeit der Angestellten (Besitzer?) Hat mich beteits beim 1. Besuch vor wenigen jahten überzeugt! Daher kommen wir gerne wieder! Für mich war es bereits der vierte Aufenthalt im Hotel Corvinus und auch beim nächsten Wien-Besuch werde ich wieder hier buchen!

Posizione, Pulizia e qualità prezzo. Credo fosse una vecchia pensioncina attualmente ristrutturata perché graziossisima! Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo, pulizia (ogni giorno e in modo eccellente), camera (direttamente sul corso principale) e ovviamente la posizione (metro subito sotto l'hotel)! In pieno corso Mariahilf con tanti negozi, bar, supermercati e ristoranti. Ha diverse fermate metro ogni 50 mt dove il centro è raggiungibile in una sola fermata e in due o tre al massimo per le zone limitrofe. Dista 30 minuti circa dall'aeroporto con tantissimi collegamenti. Ho soggiornato con un'amica, ci siamo sentite tranquillissime nel dormire qui, inoltre il posto merita in PRIMIS per il proprietario dell'Hotel, un signore super gentile che ha accolto ogni nostra richiesta e ci ha sempre aiutato con tutto! Il giorno del check-out ci ha tenuto anche i bagagli fino alla partenza. Di notte, pur essendo sul corso, la zona è molto tranquilla e silenziosa. Se dovessi tornare a Vienna, tornerei sicuramente a soggiornare qui :)
