Camping Landes le Col Vert

We had an awful réception time. The guy wanted to give us the keys earlier than 3pm but the woman refused. He had to tell her we were premium and that the place was empty since a couple of days before she decided to hand us the keys over. We didn't have the adapter, as last year they said they lend us one. Now they sent us buy one for 10 euros. As we already paid a supplement for the space. So the reception was awful, the service was hell this year and the ' vice director ' made a scandal in front of the kids because we lighted a barbecue that was not prohibited in the reglemantation but only in their app in a 'secret' service tab. So he came back with an extra employee to damp the barbecue with water, what is really dangerous. We won't come back in the camping. Last year we had a great memory this year we wanted to run away, it's a pity we couldn't get reimbursed. And last but not least, the premium bathroom wasn't cleaned when we arrived. Bug and spiders everywhere even snails were there to welcome us. We took the pictures to be sure we had some prove as they said it was impossible.

Great campsite with well maintained and clean facilities, well stocked supermarket and onsite bakery, the entertainment onsite does go on into the early hours some evenings with teenagers making a lot of noise so this is not a site for people looking for peace and quiet through the night, great location for exploring the local area with some fabulous beaches within a 15 min drive

Pitch was a little smaller than advertised, which was a bit tight for our motorhome, but still ok. Evening bar and entertainment just didn't work - only a few seats that soon went, which was a shame as they had live music that would have been good to stay and watch but just not the space for even a small group of people. Fairly clean and pleasant surroundings. We enjoyed our week there

So disappointed - the campsite evening entertainment is sooo loud and is not in keeping with the idea of tranquility and nature. They're also all in French alone. The welcome leaflet clearly explains that you must be quiet after 1130pm, however the campsite shows regularly go on later than this with no warning, explanation or apology. Tonight the app says no entertainment at all and yet we are still awake at midnight. It's like being next door to the night club in Ibiza! The new toilet block by reception is modern and nice, but all the others are very old and unisex, with toilet bowls but no seats. They are kept very clean though thank goodness. The lake is fantastic with lots of opportunities for activities. The campsite is firmly French, which is lovely as we are in France, but not necessarily that welcoming for foreign holidaymakers. The spa was great and the ladies there were lovely. I like that they do treatments for younger ones. However, it is very hard to get an appointment and also no pre treatment health questions were asked, which is usually mandatory in the UK at least. There are great opportunities for bike rides and dog.walks in the surrounding forests. The bike hire is great on site, definitely a good idea as the site is so big. Some have lights and some don't which is a bit dangerous after dark. If you're ok with loud late night entertainment you'll be ok here. Good for sociable teenagers and French speakers.

Couldn't fault it apart from cost of wifi. Clean site , great ameneties, shop and toilets really good. Very helpful and welcoming staff, a really nice experience . We will be back. I loved the fact that the site was only 1/3 full. Not sure I'd go during the peak season as its huge and would likely be far busier.
