Hotel Milano & Spa

Stayed two nights. Very well located, just short walk from the "Arena" and numerous cafes and restaurants. Staff were very friendly and informative. The room was large and clean. Breakfast was excellent and having fresh made coffee by the resident barrista was an added bonus. Would definitely stay here again.

I cannot recommend this hotel and its staff enough. From the moment we arrived we were blown away by not only the location of the hotel (right in the heart of Verona and beside the Arena) but also by the welcome we received by the staff at the front desk. We had originally booked a standard double room but upon arrival we were upgraded to a larger front facing room as it was our anniversary. The room was beautifully decorated with all mod cons including air con, mood lighting in the shower and TV with streaming. There was also a complimentary mini bar providing water and soft drinks which was greatly appreciated. We looked forward to breakfast each morning as it was a fantastic selection and possibly the best coffee we have ever had. Again, the restaurant and bar staff were very friendly and accommodating to any requirements. The staff also helped us with directions and recommendations on where to visit / eat, etc and helped to arrange our transfers even providing water/snacks for us for for our onward journey. The rooftop bar is also stunning with views across the rooftops and of the Arena di Verona which is beautiful in the evening as the sun sets. This may be one of the main selling points for this hotel however, as stunning as it is......thing the thing that impressed us most with this hotel was the manager, staff and service we received. It has been a long time since I have stayed in a hotel that actually does provide the personal touch and makes you feel welcome as a guest. Many other hotels could learn a lot from the customer service this hotel provides. Well done to the management and staff. We will definitely be returning and cannot wait until we do! Service could be improved upon. Thought some members of staff unfriendly and unhelpful. Rooms are quite small, but this is to be expected in the middle of Verona. Breakfast had a plentiful supply. Big factor for the hotel is the location. Perfect for seeing the sights of Verona. Train station a solid 20 minute walk.

I was at the lobby this late afternoon when an incident happened. The elevator got stuck and there were people inside. The hotel handled the situation poorly knowing that there was a little child inside. They didn’t even bother to call a technician to come fix the problem instead of being guided on the phone.. And no one was checking on the condition of the people inside besides when they’re the ones that knock on the elevator door or ring the bell because it was getting too much for the child. The staff weren’t even bothered to ask the persons stuck in the elevator after they got out if they need anything especially if the little child is ok or he needs something after being stuck in an elevator for half an hour. Kudos to the mom who handled the negligence and inhumane treatment from the hotel. Surely its in a strategic position, a modern hotel with a good view of the arena but how they handle such emergencies is not worth the stay. I really hope that the staff wouldn’t be in the same situation that happened to those clients but maybe it will serve as a lesson for them. Atleast they would know what it feels like.

We came for a drink, and it was a good experience. The service was excellent, the views beautiful, and the drink was refreshing. I'm not sure what else I can say, except it's pretty cool they have a hot tub. We didn't use it. Need shade on hot days.

Stayed in Nov 2022 Nice clean hotel. Friendly front desk staff and easy check in. Located very close to the amphitheatre and the hotel has a nice rooftop vantage point view of it. Very good buffet breakfast The only negative of that is it on a street with restaurants to it is noisy until about 2 am (during our stay at least )

Booked reservation on terrace. To be fair originally for a meal in evening and they were accommodating to make a change to afternoon due to train issues. However they didn’t mention the fact that food is only available from 6pm so when changed reservation we were expecting to get a late lunch. Obviously disappointed to be told drinks only when the day had centred on having lunch. The view is of the arena walls and lots of roof tiles! Felt a bit pretentious and staff seemed to be more concerned about hotel guests than those who were not guests. You have to have reservation checked at hotel reception and be escorted by member of staff up the lift to the terrace. If honest if you’re not instaworthy or a guest I would give it a miss there are plenty of other places to go to without the pretension of thinking it is something special.

There was nothing wrong with the apartment we were in and the staff were very friendly. It was just not what I thought I was paying for. I specifically booked this hotel for the views from the rooftop bar and the location. To find after confirming and paying that we were in a separate building 600metres away was disappointing. So word to the wise, check that your room is in the hotel if you specifically want to stay there not Verona House.

Fantastic location. (You could pop back to use the bathroom at the interval in the opera!) Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet very good. Room a little small. The only real issue is the cost - very overpriced but you are paying for the location.
