My wife and I are frequent visitors to Italy. We stayed at four different locations during this trip, all about the same price, and Casale Manzoni was far and away the best of the lot. This is a large residence atop a hill north of the Ponte Pietra. You can easily walk downtown, just leave your car at the house. We stayed at a south-facing room and had a fine view of green hills. Every aspect of this residence is serene and tasteful. On this same trip, we stayed in other apartments which were about the same price--but so inferior. So my complements to the Manzoni family. For those who are over-60, you might find the walk back up the hill at the end of the day a challenge, but I would suggest you simply go slowly. You can do this! Giardini Giusti and the Roman Theatre are nearby, and lunch at the Redentore is also pretty good. Quiet location. In our apartment we had a kitchen, sitting room, and bedroom, all tastefully appointed. Whoever did the renovation here, good work. Enjoy!
