Very clear instructions on how to get in the B&B then the room, we had room 3 which was functional with comfortable bed and powerful shower. The breakfast served just outside the rooms with three tables placed on a small terrace area, we ate on here every morning. Breakfast was basic just bread rolls with tea/coffee, jams etc and there was cereal and juice as well. Located on a quiet alley but gets a bit of traffic from people walking down from Ospedale. Good co-op just at the end of the road and a few nice restaurants within a five minute walk.

We stayed here 4 nights and would highly recommend it. Easy to get to from Marco Polo airport. Follow the signs in the airport to 'Water Transport' for 15 mins and then buy a ticket for Alilaguna Blue Line for Ospedale at the booth facing the stop or in the airport ticket office on the way. It's 4 stops to Ospedale ( 2 stops at Murano then F.te Nove, then Ospedale ). Turn left along the promenade the right into Calle Delle Cappuccine, only a few mins walk, you can't go wrong. Fausto the Manager is great, speaks perfect English and is very helpful, as it the lady who works there too. The room is clean and big and has wooden shutters on the windows. No light enters the room when closed and the neighbourhood is very quiet. The room has a free safe and free wifi that works great. It's a 10 minute walk to St.Marks Square, which we did at 0600 three times to watch the sunrise there, if you want to see the square completely empty and a beautiful photo opportunity all around the area. Perfectly safe and crime free to do so, then get back for breakfast at 0800 ( lovely coffee ). The Castello area around the hotel is perfect, lovely bars/ cafes/ restaurants and nicely priced. All in all, a very affordable hotel and a special mention to Fausto for translating my Venetian birth / death records that I brought to find my ancestors homes. Also the lady who served breakfast was really lovely too. Would stay here again.

Wonderful stay! This is really an excellent stay all-around for Venice. Great location (easy to arrive from the airport and easy to access the whole city) , very clean and organised with necessary basic amenities. Fausto and Yii are both very welcoming and helpful with local suggestions. Would highly recommend, great value!

Just returned from a great 4 days in Venice. The Alloggi Barbaria is about a 15/20 minute walk from St Marks square. It’s in a nice quite area, so if you want to be in the thick of it it’s not for you. The rooms are basic but very clean, as it was only used as a base it’s all that was needed. They offered us a basic breakfast of bread rolls and jams a nice touch but there are plenty of shops around to get breakfast. Like I said it did the job.

Malheureusement, jai ete extrêmement déçu par le manque de professionalisme de l'établissement... J'ai envoyé une demande d'informations pour 3 nuits a un tarif de 110 Euros la nuits. Le lendemain, ils augmenté leur tarif de 30 euro la nuits pour ma periode et a demandé 4 nuits minimum. Si je faisait maintenant une recherche 2 jours avant, le tarif était de 300 Euros et 3 nuits minimum. C'est dommage qu'un établissement ne respecte pas ses engagements pour quelques dollars. J'ai trouvé un autre hotel avec un excellent service a la clientèle et avec des commentaires parfait.

Très bon petit hôtel, au calme, les propriétaires sont très gentils, les chambres très correctes ainsi que le petit déjeuner. Situé à 15 minutes de la place St Marc et tout près du vaporetto qui vous conduira à Murano et Burano. A recommander si on a un budget un peu serré en période de carnaval.
