Yantra Grand Hotel

Needs updating asap. The furniture is decades old. The soundproofing is bad. The breakfast lacks options. The SPA is just ok, but it also needs some renovations. On the plus side: The rooms are big and the view is great. Top location as well. Check-in was very fast. There's a charging station available.

The staff are polite but he accommodation, furniture – eveything is old and on the brink of falling apart. The water in the small pool in the basement is lukewarm and on the cold side. Breakfast is not as plentiful and good as it could and should have been. Parking is difficult to come by even with help from the staff. Still, the panarama from the room was very good and the one from the restaurant was excellent. But the room did overlook a busy highway and it was too noisy to keep the window open. Too expensive for what they actually offer.

Well located for walking this hillside city, a former national capital, with a range of buildings and active commercial center. The 3-room suite was spacious, reasonably comfortable, with a walk-in shower. Best rooms do not face the street. Some construction noise from one end of the building. It's a place handling large bus tours. Extensive breakfast buffet with dining rooms overlooking the river and hillside.

Me and my husband were part of a group of 47 people . Check in was a breeze , but the young lady at the reception was cold and not welcoming . After we all got our rooms I asked her what time do shops around the hotel close ? Her answer I don’t know , I asked her don’t you work here and live here . A blank face from her … if a receptionist is standing in the hotel she is the face of the hotel she represents the hotel . A complete clueless person is there .later that night we called about the internet , my husband told her the circle keeps going around and around it’s not connecting . She says I can’t do anything about it Maybe all the guests are using it so I think it’s slow . Please remove fast WiFi from trip visor .we had no internet ! Pillows are foam in a pillow case which doesn’t close at all . Can you imagine the germs from one guest to another . AC is decor , doesn’t do anything . Soap on the sink is a size of a quarter . No clean hands here . Ok rooms are spacious , but I’m waking up with a headache from the foam I slept on . Got my own pillow cases just in case .

During our river cruise we were brought here from Rousse for lunch break before hiking to Tsarevets Fortress. The location was good right in the middle of town on the main road. It was a quite a big hotel with a restaurant where we all about 100 of us had lunch. We two were the only vegetarians and we were specially served Risottos with a glass of wine. Its balcony had a great view of the valley and Fortress. Its lobby had good seating with a nice view.

My problem with this hotel is that I chose to save money by getting a single (solo) room. I haven't slept in a twin bed in over 30 years. It was clean and safe, which is the most important. The AC didn't really work that well. Breakfast was really good. One of us is lactose free, another is gluten free. This hotel had a good selection of REAL food for both of us. This hotel caters to giant bus tours as it is a large hotel. There aren't many really nice hotels in Yantra. I would stay here again, but spend the $$$, even if you only have 1 person in the room, to upgrade from a solo room.
