The Zuri White Sands, Goa Resort & Casino

Zuri White Sands Goa had been on my wish list since 2017, and in August 2024, I finally experienced it. Visiting during monsoon was magical—lush greenery, misty skies, and cool sea breezes created a serene atmosphere. Nestled in Varca, South Goa, the resort exudes grandeur with its sprawling landscapes, regal lobby, in-house casino, and private beach. The pool area, especially the lazy river, was a standout, with charming bridges adding to its beauty. Our executive room with a pool-facing balcony was well-appointed, though the flooring could have been more premium. Spa & Dining The spa was a highlight, offering a complimentary Jacuzzi, sauna, and steam, ***** with a deeply relaxing massage. Dining was a mixed experience—the buffet meals were average, but Sake, the Asian fine-dining restaurant, was exceptional. The Shanghai Prawns were among the best I’ve had, so much so that I ordered them twice! Their orange-based mocktail was also a delight. Room for Improvement Despite its luxury, minor issues stood out. Old, scratched, unkempt room key cards felt out of place in a five-star setting. When guests are paying for a premium experience, something as simple as a sleek, well-maintained key card should be a given. Also, corridor water leaks were both inconvenient and unsafe. Final Verdict Zuri White Sands offers stunning landscapes, luxurious pools, and a tranquil private beach, making it a great escape in South Goa. While I enjoyed my stay, I’d likely explore other resorts next time. Worth experiencing once, but with the right expectations.

Spread over acres of greenery this resort is a good place to relax....spacious rooms, friendly staff, great food spread, large swimming pool with a water fall and pool bar all make it a perfect place for a relaxing holiday. A private beach access is the cherry on the pie with amazing sunset views and clean beach. Overall an experience to cherish.

A nice hotel Resort with casino, good friendly helpful staff, only the food quality or variety needs an improvement, example the bakery items are hard seems not fresh etc. A great destination for all kind events etc. Big lush green grounds, with beautiful beach view.

“Our stay at Zuri was below average, and we expected much better given the price we paid (₹20,000 per night). Here’s a detailed breakdown of our experience: 1. Mini Bar Mismanagement: The staff didn’t properly check the mini-bar before our checkout. We received a call accusing us of consuming a chocolate bar, which was quite disappointing. For such a premium rate, this lack of professionalism and attention to detail is unacceptable. Staff training is a must. 2. Check-out Hassles: The check-out process was frustrating. They started calling us 24 hours prior, and we received 6-7 calls asking about checkout timing. With a one-year-old baby, this constant disturbance was very inconvenient. A resort of this caliber should handle checkout processes more efficiently and respectfully. 3. Breakfast Quality: The breakfast was below average. The sambhar was particularly disappointing—it tasted terrible and felt like no effort was made in its preparation. 4. Service Discrimination: The staff near the swimming pool seemed to prioritize foreign guests over Indian guests, which was disheartening. Being treated like this in our own country is unacceptable and reflects poorly on the resort. Equal treatment for all guests should be a priority. 5. Valet Parking: The valet parking service was subpar and needs significant improvement. 6. Property Condition: The property feels old and outdated, which doesn’t match the premium pricing. 7. Location: The only positive aspect of the resort is its beachfront location, which is undeniably beautiful. 8. Finn’s Bar: The service at Finn’s Bar was good and stood out compared to the rest of the resort. Overall, this resort is far from family-friendly. With better options available at this price point, I would recommend staying elsewhere. There’s a lot of room for improvement in service, facilities, and overall experience.”

This place is an oasis of calm and relaxation! Luxurious and comfy rooms, beautiful pool with swim up bar (my favourite). The spa is superb - really recommend the ayurveda oil treatment with Shirodhara (this is where they pour oil onto your head) it’s so hypnotic and relaxing! The main restaurant is not bad, the service is super slow and often they get muddled with coffee orders or requests, despite being endless staff. Simply having a coffee machine guests can use would fix this. The cocktail bar is bizarre, playing loud 90s trance/dance to an empty room with just us. Very at odds with the rest of the hotel. Didn’t make it into the casino as you need to pay to enter and buy a package - very strange policy - paying to enter to give them money. Turned away a group of 8! If looking for somewhere to enjoy the sunset when here, turn left out of the hotel on the beach and you will see a brightly lit beach shack 5 min walk away - glosant beach shack. Super friendly owner and staff, very reasonable wine and food!

Overall stay was comfortable. Staff is very polite and the pool and breakfast is too good. Pool and bar are amazing. Easy access to beach. There are many gardens to walk around. Casino is newly renovated and better compared to other hotel casino in Goa. Overall a must stay in the property.
