BE CAREFUL-this hotel canceled our reservation, which was confirmed with a deposit, without letting is know. We called the day before to set up transport from the airport and were told they were not accepting FOREIGN NATIONALS. We had to scramble at the last minute to find a place to stay. We are still waiting for the refund. I will never book another Royal Orchid hotel again.

Quiet and beautifully furnished hotel with lovely gardens and a perfect view of the Ganges. Very attentive and caring staff, excellent home cooked food. Our room was clean, comfortable and well equipped. We would definitely return here if we visit Varanasi again.

Over priced, they charge nothing less than taj and in terms of food you have no choice. The spread is minimal with bare minimum 2 dishes for all of the meals be it breakfast, lunch or dinner. Hotel staff is least empathetic towards guest. Property is managed by some care taker where the lady is arrogant and royal orchid has no control

Cozy but expensive. Ganga and Namo ghat view is great but there is no access to go to the river. Santosh and ashtosh were excellent. Place is Idyllic. Mr Singhs presence is graceful. Mornings with flute recital and peacocks around is joyous. Food is expensive but home cooked. Access to the property is difficult.

The service was among the best in Varanasi, making our stay very comfortable. The staff is genuinely supportive, and overall, our experience was excellent. The only downside is the hotel’s location, so it’s a good idea to arrange transportation in advance. In my experience, dealing with local taxi operators in Varanasi can be challenging. The hotel does offer taxi arrangements, though I haven’t personally tried this option.

Very beautiful hotel with wonderful rooms and gardens. They have fresh cooked meal and amazing staff. If you are looking for place away from hustle of the city and Ganga view this is the place to go. There hotel manager is very helpful and gave us really good travel advise.

We absolutely loved staying with Mr D.B.Singh and his wife and team at Saptpuri Varanasi. I didn’t expect the level of personalised care and the gorgeous surroundings of this property. I loved the architecture, the gardens and the view over Ganga…. This place felt like Heaven on Earth. Our host arranged Ayurvedic treatments for us and gave us excellent recommendations. Our food was so sattvic and I will never forget their arranging a late night supper for us as we arrived late. Amidst the busy location of Varanasi, this boutique hotel is a shangri -La 🌿

Location very far from key locations, food very pricey but yes it’s homely and healthy. Stay comfortable and peaceful.
