Located in the central Libertad Park in the city of Matanzas, near of Varadero beach, the Hotel has great historical – cultural value. Was founded in 1902 under the Administration of Luis Velazco, in Libertad Square.
The building samples an eclectic architecture with outstanding neoclassical elements. It is one of the most important buildings of the historical centre of the city.
It has 17 rooms with air conditioning, TV, telephone, mini-bar, security box, private bath and Internet service.
The furniture’s design is inspired by the time of its founding with the use of wood, bedside tables and bronze.Rooms lit with lamps and ceilings of the 20th of last century can be appreciated in the installation.

酒店位置可以，面對中央公園，但酒店一般般，寧願住遠一點，開車過來mantaza 看，（這地方也沒有什麼看，可住可不住）

The service was really great, the rooms are so much comfy and sweet. The pillows OMG so soft. I really loved the food and the views on this place. It's a good place to visit with your family or Friends. I Hope come back soon with my family and friends

The customer service was excellent, the people very friendly, the room was impeccable and the atmosphere of the hotel very cozy, the front street very busy, the gastronomy was good the only bad thing is that the streets is loud. It's in the city center so you'll get to know the city

Excellent! Very friendly and amazing service. Best accomodation during our trip in Cuba. Rooms are very Comfy and clean, the staff always kind and available. Convenient prices and card payment accepted as well as cash Highly recommended!

We didn’t stay at the Velasco, but we went to the bar two nights in a row because the bartenders are all so nice. Osmay, Oliver and Yanerys all know how to mix great drinks. Osmay is the best at the “Velasco,” a drink named for the famous hotel itself. It is a colorful creation that has mint and grenadine liqueurs. He also speaks perfect English and is a gifted conversationalist whose passions outside of the bar are Baseball and Fishing. Yanerys is famous for inventing the “Purple Everest Daquiri” that includes a magical combination of wines and liquors that is not only extremely tasty, but also really beautiful when properly prepared (see pictures). Oliver is a gifted mixologist with a rich appreciation of the ingredients and techniques used, and regularly creates new and innovative mixed drinks. He showed us one design utilizing multiple colored liqueurs. Needless to say, this is a fun environment. It’s a beautiful hotel lobby bar with super nice staff.

No tienen agua y no he podido darme una ducha me prometieron que tendrían agua para el día y me han mentido, eso si lo primero fue que pagara la habitación 55 dólares y he tenido que llamar a un hostal para ir a darme una ducha y pagarles el servicio, con lo que comprobado que me han mentido. Les pido un Sándwich cuando regreso de darme la ducha como me habían prometido y dicen que la cocina está cerrada. Un desastre de hotel y de país, te atienden mejor en las casas particulares que se desviven para ayudarte

El hotel muy bueno y acogedor para estar en familia, la amabilidad y cortesía de los trabajadores respetuosa y atenta, además las habitaciones muy limpias y cómodas también disfrutamos de la cafetería del Velasco y igual servicio en general muy bueno es recomendable.
