Sol Palmeras

第一次入住這家全包式酒店，衞生便利且十分靠近海邊，非常符合我們的期待，距離VIAZUL車站8公里，大約十美金。預訂的是早中晚餐全包房型，用餐體驗也很好，煎蛋以及牛排很美味，晚間的活動也很熱鬧，不虛此行！

全包酒店，餐廳的自助餐食物口味與品質都不錯，服務也非常好，酒水也是免費的，晚上還有演唱，推薦推薦，雖然客房設施有點舊，但是性價比非常高了

Non è stata una esperienza rilassante. Partendo dalla reception, Personale scortese. Ci hanno assegnato una camera dove sopra la nostra, ogni mattina, iniziavano i lavori di ristrutturazione. Già dalle otto di mattina si sentiva martellare, usare il flessibile, pezzi di muro o carton gesso cadere e comunicazione ad alta voce tra loro. I lavori proseguono tutta la mattina e parlando poi con la reception, sapendo di questo disguido, ci dicono che proseguono fino alle cinque del pomeriggio. Era impossibile riposarsi con questi rumori ripetitivi e fastidiosi. La doccia pessima. Abbiamo trovato dei vermi sul piatto doccia due volte.Forse veniamo dal piano di sopra a causa delle ristrutturazioni. Pulizia accettabile. Solo dopo aver discusso di questo disguido incominciavano a fare più attenzione sulla pulizia. Servizio a tavolo pessimo. Alcune persone sembravano addirittura infastidite quando chiedevamo un bicchiere d'acqua o un cucchiaio. Una volta ci hanno pure ignorati senza nemmeno portarci da bere una volta seduti. Melia e la peggior esperienza e catena hoteliera che abbia mai provato. Non la sceglierei mai più in futuro, non la consiglio.

Отель семейный, много шумных детей)) относительно новый, шведский стол отличный, много перекусных на территории, номера чистые, обслуживание хорошее, особенно если владеешь испанским, пляж не очень частый, но всё равно красивый. Территория большая, красивая, бассейн большой, но воды по пояс, мелкий. В общем, рекомендую

I know this won't be a very popular post but I wanted to share my experience and view of the hotel. Just a bit of the background before I jump in. We are very fortunate to be able to travel 4-6 times a year. We have been to other poor countries and always do our research (hence why I joined this group for this part of our Cuba adventure). Before stopping at Sol Palmera we spent several days in Havana and Vinales. We were well aware that a 4 star hotel in Cuba will be more like 3 star hotels in Europe for example. We tipped plenty and had a suitcase full of donations from medications, higien products and arts and crafts for kids as well as sweets. Hotel pluses: 1. Food - we were pleasantly surprised with the food. It definitely exceeded our expectations. It was plenty of it and a big variety and it was tasty (with the exception of a Chinese restaurant, I would avoid that). 2. Beach - we new that beach will be amazing and despite the fact that we had red flag for 3 days out of 6 we truly enjoyed it. Hotels shortcoming: 1. Staff - I think this was the biggest disappointment of it all. We read so many good reviews in this group about the staff so maybe we had too high expectations. On the other hand the staff at our hotel in Havana were amazing. Apart of a few exceptions (Betty at the Mojito bar was super nice and we left her several bags of donations, the older gentleman, that I unfortunately can't remember the name, was working very hard as well, cleaning the pools from 7:30 am, serving at the pool bar, cleaning around the pool, cleaning the beach from seaweed and we still saw him around at 7 pm doing bits and pieces every day. There were a couple friendly faces at the lobby bar. But that was pretty much it. Everyone else seems to can't be bothered. We left tips and gift to our cleaning lady everyday but found blood in the toilet that wasn't ours after the room service one day or sheets that were changed on our beds with stains or ripped the other day. After check in we needed to hang around and wait for someone for 10 min to come and get the suitcase (if we new where our room was located I would of taken it there myself). I understand that it's a poor country but basic hospitality and a smile doesn't cost anything. Honestly we are pretty simple people and cockroaches in the bathroom didn't bother me that much as lack of simple hospitality. We holidayed in The Dominican Republic and everyone from staff in the buffet to groundskeeping were amazing there. Staff at the Havana hotel were brilliant as well. Since we felt that staff can't be bothered we left a lot of donations that we took with us with the construction guys that were working hard there building the new beach bar everyday in the sun there. 2. Organizational skills - I seems that this is a skill that most Cuban's lack, we noted that in Havana and other parts of Cuba. If we at the buffet just when it opens it was all good. But if you are with a second sitting or even later, forget it. We

We had our wedding at Sol Palmeras, it was truly an unforgettable experience! The staff are welcoming and friendly. A very special mention to Osiris, our wedding coordinator - he went above and beyond to make sure our wedding went smoothly, he even surprised us with a violinist for our reception and accommodated all of our requests for the duration of our stay. Not only was he attentive to our needs but also to all our guests who stayed at the hotel! Needless to say, we had a wonderful stay at Sol Palmeras and will definitely be back!!!
