Erroneously charged 650 euro - refused to refund the amount. Avoid at all costs. Much better options available. No one took responsibility, no one tried to help perform a refund. Staff appalling, management worse. Truly horrendous service

The location is fine, very quiet and peaceful, although there isn’t much nearby. We stayed the night PSG won the UEFA Champions League and managed to sleep through the celebrations, so noise definitely wasn’t an issue. The front desk staff were polite, if a little formal. However, the main issue was the poor handling of check-in. We had informed them of our arrival time—4pm—but when we arrived, our room wasn’t ready. We were left waiting around while it was cleaned. We were told a cleaner was off sick, but there were quite a few people waiting for rooms over both days, which suggested a wider issue with organisation. It was surprising that they didn’t have a backup plan, whether that be extra staff, reassigned duties, or temporary help. As we were only staying for two days, waiting around really ate into our holiday time. What made it worse was that, once we were finally allowed to check in (an hour late), we saw the cleaner chatting idly in one of the rooms while others were still waiting. It gave the impression that getting rooms ready simply wasn’t a priority. A quiet stay overall, but the lack of coordination really took away from the experience.

My experience at the Sonder property in Paris was deeply disappointing and unacceptable. From the moment I arrived, I was subjected to humiliating and unprofessional treatment. I was unjustly asked to vacate the room I had booked without any valid explanation. To make matters worse, a receptionist demanded that I dress in front of the hotel staff, a shocking invasion of my privacy and dignity. At one point, four staff members entered my room without my consent, which is a severe violation of security and basic guest rights. As if this wasn’t enough, I was confronted by a male staff member in an aggressive and intimidating manner, leaving me feeling completely vulnerable. Even with police involvement, the situation was not resolved properly, and I received no support from the staff. While the deposit I paid was eventually refunded, it does not in any way make up for the emotional distress and degrading treatment I endured. This level of unprofessionalism is unacceptable, and I strongly believe Sonder owes me and other future guests an explanation and guarantees that this will never happen again.
