La Dolce Vita Holiday Villas

Have just returned from a wonderful family holiday at La Dolce Vita Holiday Villas and WOW!! This small family run resort is beautiful, peaceful and relaxing, a perfect place to unwind and distress. There were 14 of us - 10 adults and 4 children and we were all looked after amazingly from all the staff and especially by the hosts Margaret and Luigi. Chef Michele treated us to some delicious meals using incredibly fresh and high quality ingredients. The cuisines ranged from Italian, Chinese, Indian and of course Fijian - not to mention the desserts which were all amazing. If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle this is the perfect place to stay. You can spend your time swimming in the pool or kayaking and paddle boarding in the lagoon, alternatively you can relax with a book in the many shaded areas around the resort enjoying the sea breeze. We came from New Zealand and stayed for 4 nights. This is a small and beautiful resort where you will be very well cared for by owners Margaret and Luigi along with the entire friendly staff at La Dolce Vita. We had fun playing on the picturesque golf course Luigi has created Swimming in the pool and lagoon, relaxing in the many areas provided The food created by Michelle was a treat, delicious meals with a different theme every night, served with fresh produce. Our villa looking out over the reef was comfortable and beautifully clean. It provided us with everything we needed. Prices are so reasonable with breakfast and dinner included. We Recommend contacting Margaret directly to check availability and to book your stay.

We had a wonderful week at the La Dolce Vita Resort. The hosts made this week very special, and chef Michele prepared us the most delicious dishes for breakfast and dinner. Relaxing by and in the water during the day, great excursions, and delicious food, what more could you want? We were staying in one of the overwater villas with direct access to the lagoon, and had everything we needed. We will definetly be back soon!

I was urged by a friend to go to this retreat - called the Wellness Weekend at the La Dolce Vita Villas in Naqere, past Savusavu in Vanua Levu. I missed out on the first one due to work. I also really have been wanting to get back into yoga, having fallen off the wagon during the pandemic. The organizer, Raewyn, was really good at keeping in touch and guiding me through logistics. Later I learned that she is a massage therapist - and a very skilled one too. I received one massage from her and one from another practitioner - both were very good although very different. Liti, the yoga teacher, has an approach that is very gentle and nurturing - I benefited a lot from the yoga sessions and am now getting myself back into yoga, as intended. I also very much enjoyed the food prepared by Chef Michelle, who worked hard to give me excellent vegan and gluten-free fare on this vegetarian retreat (although meat and fish were served in the final lunch). The venue is stunning, with two cute and friendly pups (Jack and Jill) and a mischievous cat (Pash) who roam the property. The lagoon and salt water pool are wonderful refuges. I loved my villa, which was spacious and comfortable with a large bathroom. The only thing I would change would be to have the villas be screened, so that mosquitos would not disturb me as much as they did. We missed out on the waterfall trek due to weather, and did not do a tour or tasting of Koko Mana chocolate, due to weather and timing, but I appreciated being able to buy some of the locally made treats, which are very tasty. A lovely retreat in a beautiful location with wonderful people that I enjoyed bonding with. Thank you Raewyn, Liti and team!  

We spent five nights at La Dolce Vita at the end of August. We were the only guests so had this slice of paradise to ourselves. Not only did our hosts, Luigi and Margaret, make us feel very welcome but it was their whole team that made it such a memorable experience. Michelle, the chef, deserves a special mention. The food was spectacular, from Italian, to Indian, to Fijian – every night was a feast. Our villa was super comfortable with splendid sea views; the garden was beautifully tended; and we loved swimming in the lagoon. We can not recommend La Dolce Vita highly enough.
