Verde Morada

Absolutely beautiful hotel. Having breakfast out in the garden each morning was so peaceful and luxurious. The staff were absolutely fantastic and so helpful with booking taxis for us and giving recommendations. The staff to guest ratio was also excellent and we were very well looked after. Cannot recommend enough!

Beautiful small hotel. Room was nicely fitted (room overlooking street) out with large bathroom. Stunning garden where breakfast is served. Talking of breakfast, this was one of the best we had in 2 weeks in Yucatan. Seemed like standard fruit salad and pan dulce came along with juice and choice of hot drinks, but nothing was explained i.e. you can also order anything you like from the menu at no extra charge. I only knew due to reading other reviews. The street is beautiful and only a very short walk to the main plaza. The staff at reception were very friendly and particularly helpful when I had a problem with an ADO booking. The cafe was more of a thing than I was expecting, but when we showed up for lunch at 2.30ish was already closed up for the day - perhaps it's more of a breakfast place.

The pool design and garden layout here are completely charming, very creative, lush, quiet and relaxing (and extensive). This renovated colonial home turned small boutique hotel is beautifully done with charming nooks, beautiful tile and a small, superb restaurant on site for breakfast & lunch. The staff is excellent, attentive, warm & friendly. Miriam was especially helpful and accommodating. All areas so clean & tidy. Excellent location on Calle de los Frailes. We would stay here again, but would make sure to book the larger of the three rooms, which is downstairs and opens out directly to the garden area.

We chose to stay in Valladolid so we could have an early start for Chichen Itza - this hotel fitted the bill perfectly. Situated on the gorgeous Calle de Los Frailles with its boutique shops and cafes, it is a great base to explore the town and between the two main tourist sites - the convent and plaza. It is also only a 6 minute easy walk to the ADO station which was perfect for our travel plans. The staff were friendly and our room was pleasant - I liked the antique wardrobe and the air-con worked well (essential in Valladolid). The bathroom was rather dark and the sink badly designed, and I ended up with a cold shower one morning. None of the mirrors were particularly good which was frustrating for putting on make-up. The grounds are beautiful but being prone to mosquitoes bites I didn't risk spending much time there. We missed breakfast the first morning as we left too early for the excursion but enjoyed our meal the second day - I would really recommend the chaya crepe. Overall a lovely stay and I would definitely recommend.

This boutique hotel is an incredible and rare find. It is beautiful, comfortable, close to everything including tons of restaurants the Central Square in the convent. The staff is amazing and so friendly. Breakfast is generous. We had the room overlooking the street and love being able to watch from above. Just lovely, thank you Verde Morada!

The staff was wonderful and some spoke English. The room was quite nice. A small point of concern, however, is that the only way of locking the door at night was to use a bolt which required the key to open from the inside. This means that for safety, one should consider leaving one's key in the lock so that quick egress is possible. The grounds are absolutely breathtaking. I felt like I was in a beautiful rainforest. The included breakfast was delicious, the location is one of the nicer streets in town. I look forward to returning to that same wonderful place.

Verde Morada was such a special stay for us. We are travelers who enjoy going off the beaten path, not generally resort people. We enjoy exploring different cultures through food and experiences and people. Verde Morada was the perfect jumping off place for our stay in Valladolid. The location is AMAZING. It's on Clazada de los Frailes which is a super cute street to visit with a ton of cafes, fun places to shop w/ artisan made goods and even a mezcalaria. It's super easy to get where you want to go around Valladolid based on this location. We stayed in the 'Chechen' room and it was great! It looked out on the street, had an a/c unit on the wall and a dresser to store our clothes. They even provided comfortable robes to wear out of the shower (which our higher end hotel did NOT offer on this trip). It was LOVELY. The included breakfast was OUTSTANDING. Like honestly, i would go back just for that. It was really hearty, full of flavor, and in a gorgeous serene setting every morning. We told the staff the night before we were planning to go to Chichen Itza and asked to have our breakfast as early as possible (7am) so we could beat some of the crowds at Chichen Itza. They made it happen! My husband is a chef and food is really important to us, this was honestly the best breakfast and a great way to start our day every morning. The staff was SO nice and SO accommodating. From helping us with parking for our rental car, to the bottle of wine they gave us as a honeymoon gift, they were just so kind to us every single day. They even let me practice my spanish and didn't laugh at me! Honestly, if you are in this area, and appreciate a boutique hotel, this is a no-brainer. STAY HERE.

Lovely hotel (3 rooms), beautiful rooms and garden, fantastic breakfast and such pleasant staff. The hotel is as well very well located, just in the most beautiful street Valladolid. We stayed for three days and fully recommended it
