The Peninsula Hotel

I have been regularly visiting Guernsey for business for more than 4 years and each time I stay here is just perfect. As a business traveller this hotel is ideal - good, reliable wi-fi and a large car park. However, for the excellent service I would also choose to use The Peninsula for a holiday. Nothing is too much trouble for any of the team - be it reception or restaurant. They are individually brilliant and collectively the best team of any hotel I have ever used for either business or pleasure.

My Husband & I stayed at the Peninsula Hotel for 3 nights in October for a celebration being held at the hotel, from start to finish the staff were exceptional from reception to waiting & housekeeping . What made us smile was when we heard a member of the housekeeping team singing while cleaning one of the rooms so very happy in her workplace. On the Saturday evening when the party started again the staff were all very attentive from beginning until the end. We will be definitely be back when we return to Guernsey from the UK. Thank you

We went to the hotel this morning, and this morning, the service, which was organised by the manager, who is very arrogant….and has no organisational skills whatsoever, was diabolical! He was sending people to seats, having no idea who came in when, which meant chaos as the waiting staff didn't have a clue who had been waiting longest to place an order. Some people were ordering at the counter, paying for the order, while the majority of us were waiting, and were trusted to be honest, and be able to pay before leaving. No one would have had a clue who had paid and who hadn’t. We were served 30 minutes after sitting, and our order of coffee was served tepid. We asked for it be served hot, and rather than apologising, the waitress huffed. When we finally left, the barista took about five minutes to find our bill. What a shambles. Service at this place is a disaster every time we go, which is such a shame, as it has so much potential. The manager was useless….staff management was all that needed to be sorted. His staff were not the problem. He is far too interested in himself rather than helping his staff.

Stayed for 10 days for business with my wife, daughter and granddaughter joining us for the weekend. Room was fairly basic, below that of a premier inn with lumpy bed and limited facilities. No offer of a fan for our very hot room made nights uncomfortable. Breakfast was ok. Dinner was acceptable but they forgot my granddaughters food, it turned up some 20 minutes after everyone else had been served leaving an upset six year old. No apology just “my bad”. Generally the staff were ok but one bar man was very off and not far off rude. I would stay again but get my own fan, insist on a decent bed and eat elsewhere.

Had lovely dip and dine , head waiter so friendly and helpful , The food is excellent, service was good . The pool was warm and clean . Only thing I would say is the changing rooms deff need a bit of attention . No where to put your clothes when trying to change , Floor was wet and not great , tried to change in toilet but no hooks or shelf. Be nice have floor Matt keep feet dry , But deff be back well done peninsular such a lovely day ,Thank you

My room was very well appointed and comfortable. Service excellent and meals in the restaurant were good too. Local scenery was stunning and the whole ambience was relaxed and a million miles away from the bustle of St Peter Port. On a couple of main bus routes too.
