Santalina on Hervey Bay

I recently had an extremely disappointing experience with this accommodation service. Despite having paid in full for my reservation (2x two bedroom sea view units), upon arrival, I was informed that they had double-booked and, as a result, my accommodation was canceled without any prior communication. Then stated that I must have cancelled the booking on the same day that I paid in full and received confirmation of payment. Very odd! This lack of transparency and disregard for customer convenience left 2 families travelling together stranded without any alternative arrangements. The complete absence of communication and the subsequent inconvenience were not only frustrating but also reflect poorly on the reliability of this service. They claimed I had cancelled, yet kept the full cost of moneys paid until we arrived on the day and then said they would sort out a refund! I did not receive a cancelled email or any communication stating they had cancelled my fully paid for accommodation. I urge potential customers to exercise caution when considering this accommodation provider, as my experience was far from satisfactory.

Really enjoyed our stay here. Extremely nice, spacious, fully equipped apartment with an amazing view over the ocean from the balcony. Also, a big shout out to Ari at front desk who helped us arrange some wonderful excursions during our visit (K'gari and whale watching); her understanding of our needs was second to none; It was a joy to stay here. Only downside is the incredibly small car park. I would suggest trying to find parking elsewhere

average rooms a few stairs to our 2 bedroom apartment. ok pool no spa. close to restaurants on main esplanade. near pier. master bed small and uncomfortable the shower very basic. no curtains just blinds basic facilities. close to pier and a few eateries nearby.

We booked to stay here as it was located close to friends who live in Hervey Bay. We couldn't have chosen a better place. The apartment was beautifully furnished, clean, comfortable beds, walk-in shower (jack and jill bathroom with separate toilet), kitchen with plenty of bench space and cupboards, washing machine and dryer, aircon, lovely balcony with views of the pool and sea (we were in a pool view room on the top floor). The parking is tight, but I managed to get in and out with our hired 4WD (though I often chose to park right outside on the street, as it was easier for me). Would definitely stay here again, and will recommend to friends.

Just a few short days at Santalina .... too short. Beautiful decor with large, roomy and light-filled spaces. Pristine cleanliness. Filled with thoughtful character not seen too much these days. The generous balcony always seemed to carry the perfect breeze or shade and overlooked the water and the famous pier. In-ground pool perfect with lots of lazing-around comfortable seating. And such lovely and sincerely friendly staff. Particularly our hostess and Manager, Ari. She will go more than the extra mile to ensure your stay is perfect. It was a special occasion and we had looked forward to a particular tour for a long time (which she had organised at our request) but when cancelled due to weather, she spent so much time trying to accommodate us in the limited time we were there. Absolutely nothing was too much trouble and we were made to feel particularly and personally welcomed and special without any intrusion on our privacy and holiday. Like I said, a true gem! I would never hesitate to recommend this accommodation.
