Post Family Resort

If you are looking for a wonderful family resort in the mountains, this is the place to go. We stayed here with our 2 year old son and had the most relaxing and fun family time. The thoughtfulness that goes into every detail of making every member of the family feel comfy and relaxed is just amazing. This started before check-in where we were asked to fill out a baby-checklist of things we'd like in our room to make our little one more comfy (bottle warmers, baby tub, etc). After a 45min drive from Salzburg airport we had a very warm welcome at the hotel followed by a wonderful 3 course dinner, and our little one enjoyed choosing his own dinner from the kids buffet. The food is great with many local specialities, a daily ice cream bar, and even a 24 hour hipp baby menu! But what we loved best about the hotel was the family spa - a waterworld with slides, 2 pools and a family sauna - we went swimming every day and it was never really busy as there are so many other activities for families to do! The childcare is wonderful too - a team of trained childminders can watch the little ones and keep them busy with fun activities so that we could enjoy the amazing roof-top Spa - a quite zone for adults only. We loved the dreamy heated outdoor pool and saunas - again it was never really busy during the day as there are so many great outdoor activities in winter and summer. For our little one the highlights were the softplay area with a gigantic ball pit, the pony he was able to ride, the little snowy slope next to hotel where he could go sledding, and the magical playground that came with a go-card / bobby car race track. There is a ski school and riding lessons too, but we did not make use of it. You can go skiing during the season with a regular ski bus taking you to the gondolas - there are lots of great slopes for beginners - advanced. A perfect family Holiday all around!

An amazing vacation for both parents and kids. Lots of activities for the kids. Excellent food and service for the adults. Special thanks to Yvonne our waitress in the dining room who was super professional. It was our second time in post. A large group of 20 people adults and kids. We all had great time and looking forward to come back again. Keep doing excellent work.

We stayed for 5 nights. Wonderful time thanks to the weather, the small private lake, the quality of the food, the beautiful nature around, the friendly staff, the activities for the kids. Great team taking care of the kids, club ideal for kids until ~10 years-old. Many aspects have been improved even further (swimming pool, spa, surroundings)

Perfect family trip, worth every penny. Beautiful mountain valley nature surroundings in Austria. Excellent food, pool facilities, kids club, staff, personal touches everywhere. No complaints about anything. Staff really care about their jobs and you can tell there are some long-timers that have been working there for years. As an english-speaking family, we were a little concerned as the clientele is mostly German but were able to navigate everything just fine. Great for all ages, probably most enjoyable for ages 3-12. Recommend the suites. Loved supporting an independent, family-owned resort rather than a big characterless chain, will back!

Lovely family hotel near Salzburg. Particularly good for kids age 4-10 this is a relaxed holiday resort with plenty to offer for parents also-quality ebikes, tennis courts, spa etc. It is very well run and hospitable-having travelled quite a bit in Germany and Austria over the years this place really stands out for its friendly service in all areas of the hotel. The facilities are good and our room (which overlooked the outdoor pool) was comfortable and well laid out. The food was good in general. The adult dinner menu served each evening was really excellent and we enjoyed it. Predominantly German and Austrian guests visiting with some international families. English is widely spoken here and the kids' club activities were accessible to non German speakers. Staff in the club were fantastic and both our children had to be dragged away from the activities as they enjoyed it so much. The pool areas are spotless and fun for kids. The adults only spa on the roof is very modern having just been added and it's a great place to hang out with a terrace and relaxation room for reading/dozing. It was not yet warm enough to use the lake but I would imagine it's gorgeous in summer. The horse riding lessons were a hit with our kids. They were reasonably priced and it was a very handy way to let them try out a new skill on holidays. (You can have pony rides for free which is lovely also for younger kids). All in all we were delighted with this place. It reminded us of the Alpenrose Lermoos which is also very family oriented. In some ways it is a smaller, more personal version of that hotel. We noticed the owner of the Post was around and the family who own the hotel are clearly very involved in running it also. That gives it a personal feel which is really nice and welcoming. We visited the Alpenrose a few times when the kids were smaller and I think the Post could become another family favourite...

This family resort is truly, truly special. The staff are warm and incredibly friendly. There are so many things to do we couldn’t keep up with it all! The waterslides, pool, ice rink, horses, pool table and spa should not be missed! The room was very clean. The food was absolutely delicious with such a variety of yummy delicacies each day! My child also really enjoyed the kids bar. The ski resorts are easily accessible via the ski-bus that arrives at certain times throughout the day. The hotel is in a beautiful, idyllic location. We will definitely be coming back and we highly recommend it!
