Beautiful room with very comfy bed and well equipped. Great location with easy walk to restaurants and attractions. friendly helpful staff. Breakfast ok but gets very busy. Lovely gardens. Sadly the bar area has no real atmosphere. Pool looked lovely but too cold to use

From the moment we stepped in, the staff at udai kothi made us feel like valued guest, the rooms were spotless and the view from balcony were breathtaking, and the breakfast buffet was culinary delight - we can't wait to return! Great stay great food was good I like my stay thanku ashish sir and anita mama both are so sweet room was so neat and clean room size is also too good best stay i can't have any words to explain my feelings literally I like the place food was too tasty..

My experience at this property was excellent. Staff was very friendly specially Ashish and anita, service provided by them are very good. Food was tasty 😋 overall experience was like great. I High recomand this property if you are planning to visit udaipur.

What a wowww property, !!!!! We had a great experience-in Udai Kothi . There glass house restaurant and view of town is marvelous the restaurant Baromasi….Anita and Ashish was very professional and kind,We look forward to hosting you again soon!I would recommend it for couples as also family members.

You will be pleasantly surprised by the ambience and beauty of this hidden gem! The rooftop restaurant is splendid in the daytime, but completely breathtaking in the nighttime—the city views invite curiosity and wonder of the heritage and history—we especially appreciated the generous hospitality of the front desk manager, Arif, who personally ensured we were well taken care of. Though it’s a 2-step process to actually arrive at the destination, it was worth it!! Swing away from the usual mainstream brands for a unique experience you won’t regret!!

We had a great experience. Devrajsingh took excellent care of us and prices were great. Devrajsingh was professional and handled all the extra orders amazingly well. Stressful for the team with a big wedding party to work around. Highly highly recommended for anyone in the area!!

Udai Kothi is a nice hotel but a bit quirky. It is located in a fairly central part of the city, near a lake, and amidst a myriad of narrow, busy, lanes. The lanes are so narrow and busy it is not feasible to get to the hotel by car. There are one or two "drop off points" where a taxi will drop you and then take an auto rickshaw for maybe 1.5km or 2km to get to the hotel. The hotel reception is tiny but the staff are friendly and helpful. There is a tiny lift to most floors. We had two double rooms on the second floor. Both were fine and and nicely furnished with period pieces. Room doors were locked with padlocks. The hotel has two very nice swimming pools both on the roof. There is one restaurant where we had a couple of meals. Both meals were good but it is a bit odd in that the restaurant, while on the hotel roof, is owned and operated by somebody else. Breakfast was served in a room near the pools and was fine but pretty much the same every day. We enjoyed a New Year's Eve party at the rooftop restaurant and watched amazing firework displays all over the city. All in all a very enjoyable stay.

What truly set this hotel apart was the impeccable customer service. From the moment I walked in, the staff greeted me with warmth and professionalism, making me feel instantly welcome. Everything in hotel from room to house keeping all was outstanding ,Staff was very cooperative specially Room Division Manager, Mr. Himanshu who was so humble and courteous to help in every available way. I would like to refer this hotel to have check in during your udaipur visit.

I stayed at Udai Kothi from December 22nd to December 24th, 2024, as a female solo traveler, and it was the most distressing hotel experience I’ve ever endured. For ₹14,000 a night, I was given a room with no view, a leaking shower, and bed linen so stained it was outright disgusting. To make matters worse, I didn’t feel safe in the room—a basic expectation for any hotel guest. When I politely requested a room change, the front office staff brushed me off and told me to remind them later that night. At 11:00 PM, when I returned to the property and asked again, the owner, Mrs. Bhuneshwari, overheard my conversation. What followed was nothing short of a nightmare. Instead of addressing my concerns, Mrs. Bhuneshwari confronted me publicly in front of other guests and staff. She repeatedly demanded I explain why I didn’t feel safe. When I declined to share personal reasons, she humiliated me, saying, “You have some serious mental issues—get yourself checked out.” She then ordered the front office staff, specifically Mr. Narendra ( front office guest associate), not to change my room under any circumstances, despite available rooms. She walked away mid-conversation, leaving me stunned, insulted, and helpless. When I asked to speak with a manager, I was told that none were available because all managers had “clocked out.” Hours later, I discovered the General Manager was on-site the entire time but chose not to intervene. It was clear this hotel’s management prioritizes covering for their owner’s disgraceful behavior over providing basic guest service. The next morning, I was promised a resolution by 8:00 AM, but no one contacted me until I called at 12:00 PM. To my shock, the Front Office Manager, Mr. Aseef, hadn’t even been informed of the situation. It took over 12 hours of follow-ups and mental exhaustion before I was finally moved to a suite. Even then, I was given a hastily written four-line apology, which was only provided because I demanded it. This ordeal completely ruined my trip to Udaipur. Instead of enjoying the city’s beauty and culture, I spent my time feeling humiliated, harassed, and fighting for basic respect. I chose this property for what I assumed would be a safe and pleasant experience, but it turned out to be a source of constant stress and mental anguish. Adding insult to injury, the General Manager had the audacity to ask me not to leave a review after everything I endured. To make matters worse, some staff members even shared stories about how poorly Mrs. Bhuneshwari treats both her employees and guests. This property isn’t just poorly managed—it’s a toxic environment run by an unfit and abusive owner. If you value your peace of mind, safety, and dignity, do not stay at Udai Kothi. Udaipur is a beautiful city with many exceptional hotels. Spare yourself the nightmare I experienced and choose a property that values its guests. I’ve recently been to this beautiful hotel situated in heart of Udaipur, where I had a great time with the ambiance, service and food… Cheery on the top is the restaurant Baromasi… over all I had a best experience ever in Udaipur. Must recommend to have your leisure stay.

Unfriendly, rude and argued over call. Not family friendly. Hospitality is very bad. They will treat you like you are nothing. Stay aware before opting for it if you are with family. They will insult you also if you question them on their actions.

Amazing & charming boutique hotel. The suites are very comfortable. Each & every corner of the property is beautifully appointed. Stayed 3 nights with my friends and had a great time. The location is perfect. Staff was very courteous and polite.

This was our 2nd visit after a few years , but the Hotel and its management doesn’t seem to understand basic customer service . In spite of being in a good location they are losing the advantage by not putting in place simple facilities like pick up and drop from the taxi stand as the Hotel is around 700 m inside a narrow lane where outside cars aren’t allowed . Breakfast is virtually the same everyday with no creativity and for a hotel that charges so much and calls itself a boutique hotel the breakfast options are very ordinary. Reception staff doesn’t have any professional way of managing and requests made aren’t even internally communicated and you’re forced to repeatedly ask for the smallest of services. Totally disappointed and they’ve lost a potential repeat customer.
