Gogunda Palace

I have been visiting Gogunda palace since past 3 years. Excellent boutique place and service. Beautiful swimming pool and ambiance. Manohar Ji provided exceptional service with warmth. He and his team made our trip memorable at restaurant and bar.

Old time residence soaked in history since 15th century belonging to the then Rajput clan. The restored property now a heritage hotel is well maintained , the rooms are reasonably comfortable laced with amenities and large shower areas. They have quite a few suites which can accommodate 4-6 pax each. The hotel buildings encompass couple of lawns and courtyards in the centre, the staff too is courteous and prompt in their responses. Definately a place to visit for a short vacation. Proximity to Udaipur, Haldi Ghati etc is an added lure.

Discovered this delightful property while travelling in the outskirts of Udaipur. Learnt that Gogunda was the capital of Mewar during Maharana Pratap’s reign and this palace was built during that era It is a boutique property located within a village. Has beautifully decorated rooms, lush lawns, a swimming pool as well as an ancient temple. It is a heritage property with modern amenities. In fact there is a lift in one block working on ancient technology The staff is very helpful and take good care of the guests

As it was in our bucket list since long, finally we made it now on 15/4/22. When we reached there, they welcomed us with garland and super cool kashmiri kahwa. After finishing the formalities, they guided us to our room. We were amazed by the cleanliness and of course interior. The 500+ heritage property has all the modern amenities. They have 40 rooms but beauty of the thing is none of them are same. The staff is very well trained and courteous. Talking about food, they have a huge menu. They serve Punjabi, Rajasthani, Chinese, Continental to choose from. And taste wise, it was excellent. Even the presentation was so good that even if you don’t want, you feel like having it. As there is no sight seeing nearby, they offer different activities in the property. Swimming, cycling, table tennis, carrom, chess etc. They have spa also, but for that they charge extra. Only one thing is missing, traditional dance/singing(cultural program ), to entertain the guests at night. Must visit property. Preferably, go in group, so you will enjoy it more.

We had a very enjoyable and peaceful stay. The palace has been wonderfully restored and there are plenty of hidden alcoves and staircases to explore. Highly recommend staying there! I would definitely stay there again.

Amazing place and exceptional service Special thanks to front of house staff who were present during our check in and check out Very warm welcome from General Manager And exceptional service and attention to detail for restaurant staff members (Sukhlal / Manohar and the restaurant manager from Bengal and Big applause to all the chefs who has fed us during our stay and massive thanks to housekeeping and maintenance staff who keeps this beautiful palace looking top notch 👌👌 Now about the place We stayed from 1/02/2023 - 4/02/2023 with 2 kids Blew our eyes as soon as the door opens, very well maintained and super clean and spotless place Every single room has its own merits and wish we were there for 40 days would have loved to stay In all 40 rooms!!! Every room was super clean smelled amazing and was very historic with modern 5 star touch. I have travelled around the world and stayed in 5 star hotels and resorts and this place is definitely comparable to the 5 star standard or more. Highlighting restaurant staff and chefs who are extremely passionate about their cooking and service standard food and service was on point Every single person we came across from front of house to maintenance department were very polite and welcoming Thank you Sukhlal and Manohar singh for amazing masala tea We will back next year again with whole family and hope to see your all happy faces again Best wishes Arpan Bella and family
