Pigeon Hotel Cappadocia

Perched on the hillside below the Uchisar Castle, you couldn’t ask for a better location to watch the Cappadocia balloons ascend at sunrise. This family run hotel offers lovely, comfy cave rooms decorated with authentic pieces; some having been made by the owner’s own family members. Great authentic Turkish breakfasts and many other restaurants within walking distance. The owners are welcoming, friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend this hotel to give you the full Cappadocia experience

This is a smaller B&B style hotel situated overlooking pigeon valley, one of the valleys leading down into Goreme. It sits at the base of the famous castle and within a hundred or so meters of the town square, with plenty of authentic restaurants and small markets. The top of the walkway down to the hotel is also just a hundred or so meters from the local taxi rank (Ari’s) and car rental and at end 2024 prices just a $10 cab ride down to Goreme and back. Much quieter than the bustle of the tourists in Goreme. Nice cave rooms with suites that have large windows and balconies overlooking the valley. Breakfast is a traditional Turkish spread - all run by a husband and wife team. Great value and perfect location if you want to be alone or want to be out of the noise of the main tourist Centre’s. It’s not a chain hotel of course but some rooms have jacuzzi baths and all the neccessary amenities. Highly recommended as a value proposition for seeing the sites of the region.

You should definitely choose this wonderful hotel, look out over Pigeon Valley from the terrace, enjoy a delicious and beautifully set breakfast and head out on an adventure!

To begin with I have been solo travelling. And the best thing I could do was stay at pigeon hotel. The owner, host Eser made me feel as I was in my own home. She cooked breakfast and the manager Ibrahim the nicest guy also knocked my door and made sure I don't miss my breakfast. The amenities were immaculate. The cave room was worth the experience. If you are in Capadocia , this is the place to stay. Look no further then this. Looking forward to staying here again.

I stayed for a total 3 nights in November and enjoyed incredible hospitality in a charming location. Rooms have personality, beds are comfortable, breakfast is full of homemade treats and Cappdocian specialties. Eser and her family are local experts and while I didn't use any tour services, they were happy to provide ideas and advice for my self- guided exploration. Even before i arrived, Eser had helpful tips for me as I drove across the country. I stayed in the "Dreamer" room, which was perfectly cozy with a great view, and was surprised by an upgrade for my final night when another room became avaliable. Do also consider ordering dinner while you stay-- Eser is a fabulous cook. PS: While they aren't super close, you can see the balloons fly from the terrace in the morning.

An owner managed boutique hotel overlooking the Pigeon Valley in Uchisar, Cappadocia along the Anatolian route of the ancient Silk Road. We could feel how Eser and Ibrahim poured their hearts into running this gem of a hotel. Uchisar is the nicer part of Cappadocia but also close enough to the touristy Goreme. Eser looks after you before you even arrived. She organizes site seeing, entertainment and airport transfer, have dinner ready when you check in, fills your stomach with her exquisite Turkish breakfast on the balcony with a view of the Pigeon Valley to provide energy for the day’s activities. The rooms of the hotel are something to behold. All in all, staying in the Pigeon Hotel is the most enjoyable part of our visit to Türkiye.
