Welcome to our humble cottage, built in 1946 and lovingly restored, retaining many of the original details. Tall windows dominate all of the rooms, letting in light that is filtered through the shade of the old live oak trees in the front and the huge pecan tree in the back. We have recently rejuvenated the kitchen and bathroom and our guests ❤️the results. We love clean. We are proud of consistent 5 star ratings for cleanliness!We provide amenities such as coffee, tea, creamer, sugar, shower caps, make -up cloths, large, thick bath towels, laundry soap, a washer and dryer as well as all of the usual toiletries. You would expect to feel at home. If you let us know in advance we can provide a baby bed. We have a high chair on the property for your stay.We offer a double car port and recommend that you use it because birds roost in our trees at night.We have all new appliances in our kitchen including a 4 burner ceramic topped stove, microwave, dishwasher amd double Samsung refrigerator. The home was renovated in 2022 and hopefully has anything you would want in a home away from home. The screened in back porch is an excellent place to enjoy your morning coffee, while overlooking the fenced in back yard. You will have 8 steps from the porch, down to the yard, where there is a grill, and a grilling area with a 6 place table. This charming home has been largely renovated and newly furnished for your enjoyment. It includes refinished hardwood floors, new windows, shades and curtains, new furniture, a new washer and dryer, hot water heater, alarm system, a gated backyard, and a new driveway for two cars. This home also has amenities for entertaining, inside and out. They include a Samsung FRAME TV, that seconds as a work of art, and an electric fireplace that gives off heat. We have the accoutrements for entertaining, both for dinner with friends and an evening in the backyard. A new gazebo with a fan and electric capacity, which houses a fire pit and 6 Adirondack chairs, and an outdoor dining table for six and new barbecue nearby will provide all you need. Fresh, colorful landscaping creates the setting for a memorable experience! Two things I especially love about our home is the natural light that comes with having vertical windows throughout. The soft linen curtains give our living room a touch of elegance. I also love the amenities in the backyard. The fall and spring especially, even weeks in winter here in Tyler, are perfect for a glass of wine with friends around our fire pit, and the gazebo gives just enough shelter to feel protected from the elements of nature. I love our David Austin rose bushes and the trellis of pink climbers that makes for a grand side entrance to this lovely escape.
