We’d booked the Dandylion, but a power outage meant we couldn’t stay there. Heidi was super helpful and set us up in the Campbell House Pool Cottage instead. The place was quiet, cozy, and had that laid-back desert vibe we love. Definitely not what we had planned, but it ended up being even better. Thanks, Heidi, for making it easy!

We stayed in Faultline, one of the original wood cabins for the hotel right on the oasis. Although vintage it was clean throughout with good water pressure and fixtures and fittings in the bathroom and elsewhere. Breakfast served in the bar was a continental with breads, cakes, yoghurt, oatmeal and granola. A tasty mix. The restaurant is great and serves excellent and interesting food - great wine list also. Recommend the Petite Sirah 2020 Lodi. Loses a star for an odd approach to dinner reservations resulting in us waiting over 40 minutes, but all resolved in the end.

We enjoyed staying here, an interesting place. But it is very over priced for what it is and there are nicer and more reasonably priced places to stay in the area. Restaurant was good and the staff was nice. The pool is right in front of the restaurant So it's not an ideal pool setting. The"cabin" we stayed in was very small. And basically like a generic and inexpensive small motel bedroom. No microwave or small refrigerator. Room had two very uncomfortable chairs. One share was like a kitchen chair and the other chair was a super uncomfortable lounge chair. For the prices this place charges, they should do some serious upgrading and updating.

We stayed at the Twenty Nine Palms Inn from January 7th, 2022 until January 10, 2022. The hotel is not easy to find and is not fully staffed. On arrival we checked in at the restaurant and received information about how to get towels, breakfast, etc. There is no daily cleaning service etc. Upon getting into our room we found the bathroom window open and broken. It would not close. A hotel staffer went outside and pushed it closed. There is no exhaust fan in the bathroom so if you want to vent the bathroom you must open the window and then go outside to push the window closed. No apologies for the window or inconvenience. The heating appliance does not work very well and you must fiddle with it to get it to work. The walls are paper thin so you will hear your neighbors. The room decor is very rough and dated. You can order lunch for the next day if you plan to go hiking, but they are pretty proud of their sandwiches, pricewise. Save you money and go up the road to a chain you will get better value for a lot less money.

We stayed in the Penthouse, which is right above the office. It was a great space for our family of four. The main living room has two twin beds and there is a separate bedroom with a queen bed. There are heaters provided in each room and there is central heat also. We had plenty of space and the room was clean. I would stay here again.

Top dining experience in the 29 Palms area. Fresh, fresh fare - carefully prepared. Great team. Cozy, eclectic ambiance in the heart of the 29 Palms Inn. Small indoor dining room, eat at the bar or outdoors on the pool deck. Reservations are a must!

A special place in the desert---an inn with character, beauty, and history. We stayed there 20 years ago and loved it. We stayed again this month and werre delighted to see it had retained its unique qualities and atmosphere.

The room was large and clean. Ask for a room on the side away from the highway. We did have free Wi-Fi, the pool was open. The hotel provides a grill near the pool and a family was having a cookout. Everything was great.

Not as cute as the pictures. No amenities to speak of. No wifi, minifridge, coffee maker in the room (as noted in reviews from 10 years ago). Pool hours are stated at check-in, to be open until 9pm. The night of our stay, the staff member on-site wanted to leave early so he kicked us out of the pool at 7:40 (about 10mins after we jumped in). We looking forward to an evening dip after spending the day in the extremely hot desert. If you stay on a Monday or Tuesday the dining room is closed so no food on site. The best thing about this Inn was the location. Could be a super place if owner cared. In my opinion - the price was outrages given the lack of amenities etc.
