Well located in the centre of town, let down by shockingly poor staff (of whom there are too few). Check in was initially OK, but there was a problem with the plumbing in the room so a new room was requested - no apology, just a slightly grumpy offer of a replacement. The key to the new room didn't work. so yet another trip to reception (and yet another wait behind other guests checking in). Again, no explanation, no apology, just a rather slowly produced new key. New key a to a DOWNGRADED room - from a double to a twin. Later - but only around 21:00 - my colleagues and I returned from dinner (they don't provide evening meals) to find the entire reception/bar/breakfast floor completely deserted. Not a living sole anywhere. We wating, then we rang the bell, waiting a little longer, rang the bell again. Eventually, having explored the entire floor including the kitchens, I rang the number at reception - which necessitated an expensive call from my non-Belgian mobile. Nothing - just a recorded message and music-on-hold. Having tried that a second time, we just helped ourselves behind the bar and left a note of what we drank. As we were finishing our drinks, a receptionist finally turned up and just told us there had been an emergency so she had to leave - said we should have just waited for her. Again no apology. Although we have a corporate rate, there's no way I would stay again.
