Auberge du Vin, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel, Tupungato

Wonderful property amid gorgeous vineyards and stunning snow-capped Andes. Big room with kitchen and lovely view. I didn't realize they didn't make their own wine but they had a good selection nonetheless. Friendly and helpful staff. There's some untapped potential in this place but nothing that mars one's stay. Know that it feels a bit deserted - so if you're looking for solitude in a beautiful location, it's perfect.

We spend a relax and pleasant week end. The staff well trainer everybody so nice. All those associates made our stay unforgettable; Restaurant: Ana Lia( Breakfast) so attentive, Daniel, Santiago and the Chef doing fantastic job; Front Desk: Florencia ,she's awesome, Dulce , all the Ladies are Great and the Supervisor too

We stopped off for a night at Auberge du Vin on our way from Mendoza to a hotel in the mountains, and were shocked by the discrepancies between the property’s website and the actual hotel. I’m not sure I’ve ever stayed somewhere so deeply depressing before while paying so much. The design of the hotel is truly terrible - despite stunning views of the countryside the (dirty-looking) pool and restaurant are inside a “courtyard” so you can’t see anything. The impression is of a property that ran out of money before completing the construction and then hasn’t been maintained since. The staff clearly are doing their best and very pleasant but you should avoid this hotel at all costs. All the other guests seemed as bewildered and dispirited as us to have found ourselves in this total dump. Luckily for us we only wasted one night here.

Nice location and services. Some minor maintenance required. Personnel extra helpful. Located in a vineyard with rooms directly to the field offers a great romantic moment! Menu and wine offerings are very good. Bakery on premises is a plus.

This hotel is set near Tupangato in a desert area and surrounded by mountains and vineyards. It is one of the more spectacular tribute hotel locations in the collection. The restaurant has lovely outdoor or indoor areas. The pool is conveniently located in the same area. The rooms are largish with a mini kitchen and refrigerator. The staff is very helpful for what you need. We stayed here twice and were very pleased.

The room that they asigned us hasn’t wardrobe. There isn’t a yacuzzi neither a sauna. The quality of the household was standard. Do you think for a five stars hotel must have this basics accommodations!! The view and peacefulness are the best!

We overall had a good stay, but feel as though there is definitely room for improvement at this hotel. As loyal Marriott Bonvoy members, we do not feel as though this hotel completely merits inclusion in the prestigious Bonvoy family of brands as it stands. The hotel itself is beautiful with large rooms in a scenic location, however it is very hard to get to from Mendoza. If we had it to do all over again, we would likely rent a car, because we ended up paying a lot of money for various transfers due to the property’s remote location. There was also some confusion with booking vineyards and cars. Upon landing in Mendoza after a delayed flight around 8:30 pm, our reserved car was nowhere to be found. Despite sending the hotel our flight information, we were informed that the driver brought others to the hotel. They did offer to send another car (which would have taken 2 hours to pick us up), and sent us a charcuterie board as an apology. We ended up taking a taxi, but felt as though it was the first of many miscommunications with the front desk. As we began our first full day at the property, we were told one of the tour reservations they had arranged for us four months in advance had been cancelled after they rushed us through breakfast in order for us to make the tour. When we went to lunch, we were brought to a vineyard we didn’t reserve (which ended up being great, but it wasn’t what we had booked) and told that there was another misunderstanding around our original reservation. This happened twice, which was upsetting because we were looking forward to specific vineyards. It felt as though the legwork we did to research and request vineyard reservations months in advance was completely disregarded for our trip. Finally the wi-fi everywhere on this property (including the lobby) is awful, which makes for a great place to unwind, but difficult to confirm reservations and travel plans. All that being said, the restaurant and bar are absolutely amazing. Everything at the hotel was clean and the staff were professional and attentive. It’s a great place to relax and unwind, but needs a little improvement to be a five star property.

Auberge Du Vin is a maximum 3.5 star hotel. It should be re-branded as a standard Marriott or Marriot Courtyard. It’s nothing like other Auberge’s elsewhere in the world. Everything about this hotel (service, food, luxury, design, amenities, location, bed/pillows, comfort is 3 star). WiFi is nonexistent in the room and mediocre in the hotel lobby at best. Phone service is very spotty. The location is way off the beaten path compared to other hotels in the region. You can expect to drive a minimum of 30 minutes and in many cases one hour (and a portion of this drive is on a long dirt road) to go to wineries and restaurants. We came here specifically because it was the only hotel in the region next to a golf course (the hotel website says there’s golf on property). Upon arrival, we were told the golf course had been closed for two years! I’m not sure why they haven’t updated their website? This was a huge disappointment and simply false advertising by the hotel. The hotel staff are very friendly, and we appreciate their great service (especially the breakfast staff and the front desk). If you’re looking for an affordable hotel in the beautiful Mendoza region, this hotel is a good option for you. If you’re looking for five star luxury you are certainly better off at one of the other hotels in the area.

We had high expectations of Auberge du Vin when we booked due to the pictures on web. However, our stay there (for 2 nights only, thanks God!!!) was horrible. The Hotel facilities is quite old... needs an urgent remodeling all over the place. Our bedroom was very old, the fireplace didn't work well, we had to open the doors to let the smoke go away... it immediately called the attention of the front desk receptionists as the smoke got there... so you can imagine how much smoe we had.... in addition, for one and half days I couldn't have a hot shower... there was an issue with the heating system. So, it was a stay to forget... it is a shame because the landscape where the hotel is located is nice, but there is an urgent need of investments there if they really want to be a nice hotel... last but not least, the receptionists are not really friendly... we had these issues and they didnt really care much about it... it looks like they are not worried about your experience at all... thanks God we had planned to move to another place (much nicer, by the way) for the remaining 3 nights. So, I do not recommend this place at all...
