I stayed here for 2 non-consecutive nights as part of a group tour, and I had a different room for each night. The hotel is located in Tumbaco, a 20 minute drive from the airport, and not particularly convenient for central Quito. I think the tour company used this hotel as it was a good launching point to go to other places (Otavalo, Cotopaxi, etc.) without having to deal with central Quito traffic. The hotel felt very fresh and modern on arrival, and the staff were friendly. There was good wifi throughout. There is a lift in this hotel which was great. My rooms were very similar for both nights, the only difference being that the 2nd night there was a bathtub in the shower. The rooms were clean and airy with lots of storage space, and the beds were large and comfortable. The bathrooms were also clean and a good size, with consistent water temperature and pressure. I had breakfast at this hotel both times. It was a reasonable spread but squashed in a small area. There were hot and cold offerings, and they came and asked you how you would like your eggs which was nice. It was a decent breakfast on both occasions. Overall the hotel was lovely, if you have reason to stay in Tumbaco then I would recommend it.

This is my first visit to Ecuador and to the Quito area. What a relief to check in here at Ilalo ! Michelle & Sandra greeted me and got me checked into my room within minutes … I greatly appreciated this after a very long day of travel. The entire hotel looks brand new. The decor is bright and professional and the room was clean, spacious and very comfortable ! Eating in the restaurant was a treat. As a foreign traveler, I am obviously concerned about food preparation and I ate safely and enjoyed a wonderful week here in Quito ! I will definitely be back here again !!

Good quality overall with clean and comfortable rooms. However, the hotel was a long drive from the airport and in a part of town that felt unsafe at night. Some of the staff was wonderful and others did not seem to care. Language barriers are an issue.

This is a great hotel overall with clean, comfortable rooms and good food. Still, it was also a very far drive into the city and it didn't feel safe at night. Some staff members were absolutely fantastic and others didn't seem to care. This was also true while I was making reservations by email back in the US.

Stayed here 3 different times over a 2 week.period. Each time our stay was excellent. The staff in both the attached restaurant and on thevhotel reception made us feel very welcome and at home. For our final stay we arrived just as the restaurant was closing but they still managed to prepare something for our party. Thry even managed to prepare a brrakfast to go for one of our party who was leaving very early the following morning Overall an excellant level of service much better than some of the big hotel chains. Would I stay again, without doubt yes.

Excellent hotel. All 16 tour group members thought so. Friendly, helpful staff. Surprisingly wide range of food on offer despite the small kitchen. Comfortable beds in clean rooms. A few miles outside the centre of Quito but only a 20 minute taxi ride to Quito airport. The only point of dissatisfaction was the instant coffee offered in the small lounge at the end of floor 2 – it was very bitter. Despite this an excellent stay.

Only minutes away from the vibrant center of Tumbaco, Quito, Ilalo garden is a very quiet and serene place. This is a typical business hotel with neat rooms with a modern design and a very nice bathroom. Everything was to my greatest satisfaction, the staff was very nice and welcoming ( and they speak english!) the room was pristine clean and the restaurant has a rich and tasty menu. If you are a fan of jacuzzi, you can also get a room with one. with breakfast included I paid a very reasonable (even low) price. I recommend it warmly.

Elegí este hotel porque estaba cerca del evento al que tenía que acudir. El personal de recepción no es especialmente eficiente pero resuelve. El hotel es pequeño pero esta limpio. La habitación que elegí era grande y espaciosa y contaba con hidromasaje, pero no contaba con aire acondicionado, solo un ventilador de techo. El desayuno bastante justo, correcto a secas. La conexión a internet bastante mala, con una instalación chapucera en la que varios routers y acces points se interferían mutuamente. Aunque no estuve mal, no es un hotel al uso con servicios e instalaciones habituales. No creo que vuelva.
